Chapter Seven

"Why is it so bad that she's in there?" Cruz asked confused.
Kidd and Mouch run to the front of the building.
"Where is she?" Kelly asked.
"She hasn't said anything since she went in." Kidd said.
Jay pulls Kelly to the side.
"Brooks is in there." Jay said.
"Please tell me that you're lying." Kelly said.
Jay looks at him.
Inside the building
Alexis slowly wakes up.
"It's been what eight years since I last saw you? I missed you." Gregory said.
"You killed my family!" Alexis yelled.
Gregory puts Alexis hand in the small but growing fire next to her. Alexis screams in agony. Gunshots start going off. Alexis runs out and Jay follows. The ceiling goes. Alexis passes out because of the amount of pain she's in.
"I got you." Kelly said.
"Is he dead?" Casey asked.
"No, might have shot him in the kneecap and chest just to see him suffer." Jay said.
Casey and Kelly smile.
"Severide you coming?" Brett asked.
Kelly jumps into the ambulance.
"Alex you're going to be ok." Kelly said.
"Severide." Alexis weakly said as she wakes up after Brett have her some Morphine.
"I need the other arm." Brett said.
Alexis looks at Kelly as she gives Brett her arm.
"He did this?" Brett asked.
"I'd rather not talk about it." Alexis said.
"James would be proud of what you became." Kelly said.
Alexis smiles. They get to Med.
"Dr. Halstead, you're up." Maggie said.
"Alexis Morgan. She has 2nd degree burns on her left hand and a small concussion." Brett said.
"Alexis, I'm Dr. Halstead." Will said.
"I want Jamie and my mom." Alexis said as she starts crying.
"Too bad." Gregory said.
Kelly runs over and punches Gregory.
"Severide that's not going to help Morgan." Jay said.
Kelly walks back over to Alexis.
"Severide I'm bringing her up to the burn unit to treat her hand." Will said.
"Visit Jamie. Tell him Happy Birthday and tell him I'm sorry I can't go this year." Alexis said.
"I will." Kelly said.
"He's in Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana." Alexis said.
"I'll come visit you later." Kelly said.
"Thank you." Alexis said.
They wheel Alexis away.
"I can come with you to James's grave. I know where that is." Brett said.
"You don't need to." Kelly said.
"She's family." Brett said.

I know that these chapters are kind of boring but I don't want to jump into any relationships right away. Next chapter will be Kelly and Brett's adventure to Fairmount.
