context : violet gets assaulted at a bus station, and louis and clem don't know what to do with the aftermath

note/s : trigger warning- assault. i never do shit like this tbh, too close to home but i felt like doing angst today (don't worry it's not graphic) plus happy new year lol

"What are we going to do??" The short-tempered girl crossed her legs, Louis flicked the dreadlocks off his face, as he sat close to Clementine.

They were giving Violet a moment in the washroom, and they made sure to take out anything dangerous for the moment, for they feared something clicked in her and she'd take the shame she felt onto her

The thought made them both shrivel in cringe, as Clementine looked down on her own hands.

"I think it's my fault."

"I think there's no one to blame here."

"Well, I was supposed to go to the store with her, but I cared about some stupid hat more."

"You know it's not your fault, I wouldn't best the thought of the both of you guys in danger."

She didn't say anything more with that, points taken, they were both afraid on the trauma Violet could possibly have after this.

It was already too much with almost everyone in her life gone, or already affected by some term of trauma caused by anything.

And with Violet however? They weren't so sure.

Violet enters the room, her pale face grazed with a cut that stood out more than her emerald eyes— Bad comparison, Louis thought

"It's just a cut, guys." Violet assured them both, sitting down next to them. She couldn't help but have a sour aftertaste in it, she really couldn't

"Yeah, but what if it wasn't just a cut?" Clementine said softly, almost like a whisper like tone.

"Well, I'm not dead, am I?" The blonde weakly laughed dead, Louis wasn't pleased by such the tone of her voice, surprisingly.

"Yeah, but what if we didn't arrive on time? Or what if they did some harm?" She crossed her arms, looking deadpan into her. She sighs, and makes room for her to sit

"You don't have to go anywhere tomorrow." Louis assures "It's not going to be easy."

"Well it never was, Louis. Because I won't be able to walk to a bus stop, or step near anything near it." Violet never looked at them both in the eye, almost rubbing at her cheek, a little red.

"It's just, what the fuck did I do? Did it really have to be me and at the darkest moment of the night? For fuck sakes, it's 12." Violet replied, furiously blinking the tears away

"You did nothing. Absolutely nothing, and it's not your fault for it." Louis reassured "If you want, we could go to the police station tomorrow."

Violet laughed at him, "It's already tomorrow."

"Oh. Yeah right," Louis glanced at the clock, reminding himself that it was indeed, tomorrow

"You must be tired." Clementine remarked, "After everything."

"I don't sleep, Clem." Violet winks at her, "But that's a great idea."

"That son of a bitch will feel so sorry, they'll forget their own name." Louis remarked, as he reached for the lamp, closing it

"We'll be okay."

i hate looking at this
