Hades

Stella walked into the kitchen.

She wore a fucking dress. The breath caught in my throat. I focused on my coffee. She had on black tights underneath and her boots and leather jacket.

Lucinda almost gasped. "I picked out that dress!" she squealed.

Stella smiled. "Yeah. It rarely happens, but I felt like this dress today."

Lucinda put the bowl of yoghurt and granola in front of Stella.

"Thank you," she said and dug in.

I stood and left the kitchen.

"I have no idea what's the matter with him," Lucinda said to Stella, somewhat baffled at my sudden departure.

The dress highlighted her soft curves. I just had to leave before I did something stupid. I sure as hell didn't want Persephone to be right.

And I didn't want to be mad at Stella for no reason. So leaving was the best option.
