Chapter 1

Y/n POV

*THUNK*

My axe hit the trunk of the tree.

I pulled back, before I swung again with more force.

I kept doing this, until the tree fell.

I put my axe on my back and picked the tree up, carrying it back to my home.

Atreus was there, getting some rest. We spent a long time on getting Feya's ashes to the highest peak and it tired him out.

???: excuse me sir?

I turned my head, seeing an old man. He was holding a coffee mug and a cane. He had glasses and grey hair.

He followed me as I walked.

Y/n: who are you?

My voice was hard. It always sounded hard.

???: my name is Professor Ozpin, the Headmaster of Beacon Academy-

Y/n: not interested

He kept following me till I got home.

I put the tree down, taking my axe and starting to chop it up.

Ozpin: you see Y/n Rose

I stopped, bringing the axe to his neck.

Y/n: it's Kratos

Ozpin: ok Kratos

I took the axe away and kept chopping the wood.

Ozpin: you have a son don't you?

I stopped.

Y/n: how do you know that?

Ozpin: I have my ways

I growled.

Y/n: you are not taking my son away from me

Ozpin: did I say I was?

I then heard people, and I looked around seeing a ton of Atlas soldiers.

Ozpin: you killed gods, and I see that as a crime myself. And what I see is you have 2 options. Come to Beacon or be arrested by Atlas and your son taken to someone else

Atreus: get away from Father!

I heard his bow string ring as arrows flew.

I saw a few of the guards drop but as I turned I saw him get pinned to the ground.

I turned to Ozpin, grabbing him and lifting him up.

Y/n: let him go Old Man!

He smirked.

Ozpin: what's your choice?

My blood boiled with rage, but I dropped him to the ground. I wasn't going to let my rage get to me straight away.

Y/n: fine. But one day, you will pay for this

I walked over to Atreus, pushing the soldiers away and helping him up.

Y/n: are you ok Boy?

Atreus: yes Father. But what were you two talking about?

I looked away.

Y/n: we're going to that school Beacon. That's what it sums up to

Atreus: didn't you want us to stay away from that?

I kneeled down to his level, putting my hand on his shoulder.

Y/n: I know, but I don't want you taken away. I don't want to go berserk straight away either. That is why I agreed

Atreus: ok father. Should I get Mirir?

Y/n: yes

He ran back inside our house and I got up, turning to Ozpin.

Y/n: if you do something to him I swear you will be sent the deepest depths of helheim

Ozpin: I understand

Mirir: oh Jeez, where are we going this time Brother?

I turned to Atreus, taking Mirir and putting him on my hip.

Y/n: Beacon

Ozpin; is that another God? Or at least the head of one?

Y/n: yes. He asked us to decapitate him actually, and a Witch revived his head. He helped us travel to Jötunheim

Ozpin: noted

Time skip

I stepped onto the ground, getting of the Bullhead with Atreus.

In front of us laid Beacon.

Atreus: why did we never take one of those when we were spreading Mother's ashes?

Mirir: well first, Midgard doesn't have any of those. It has little technology compared to the rest of the world. Second-

Y/n: you would not have learned what you do now. It was Feya's wish for us to travel, but not with vehicles

Atreus: i guess that makes sense. I do know a lot more about you and mother now also. And I know how to more effectively fight enemies

Y/n: yes, but remember. Do not kill unless it is self defense

Atreus: right

As we walked towards the school, I saw students that were outside or looking through windows staring at us.

As I looked around, through one window I saw a flash of black and red.

I mumbled to myself.

Atreus: what did you say?

Y/n: it is not important

Ozpin: you two still need to have initiation

I turned around.

Y/n: and what is that?

Ozpin: you are sent out into the emerald forest to find a relic and bring it back. That is all

Atreus: doesn't sound to hard

Mirir: then you've never seen a grimm before Little Brother. They can be large and small, but they are fierce

Y/n: it will not be a problem, not much of a problem at least. When does it happen?

Ozpin: right now if that's ok

I nodded.

Y/n: then we will head out

Ozpin: actually, follow me quickly

He walked towards a cliff and we followed.

He pointed to two pads on the ground.

Ozpin: please stand on those

I stood on on and Atreus stood on my right.

Ozpin: have a safe flight

I turned towards him, but only just seconds before we were sent flying through the are.

Y/n: Old man!
