Leo was falling. This was the second time he'd done this, he thought wryly, but this time he had no plan. The explosion that destroyed Gaea had thrown him high above Half Blood hill and now he was plummeting to the ground. He wondered where Festus went, but he suspected the scrap metal falling all around him was all that was left. Brought back to life just to die again, he thought, at least his friends would find his body. Leo wouldn't change the outcome, though, the world had to fall. It fell to fire and Leo was glad it was him.
It should be him. He never felt like he belonged, like he was part of a team. He'd always been an outsider. And besides his friends, he didn't have much to live for. Jason, Piper, the rest of the seven, they all deserved happiness, they deserved to live. Leo was content to die knowing that. His one regret was Calypso, he would become just another empty promise to her. She was probably used to that. He breathed in and out. Maybe his last breath ever. He tapped I love you into his palm. Hopefully he would see his mom soon.
