"What about that one? It looks fancy. Do you want to try it?"

"No, mom. I don't like the style.. too puffy. I'll look like a pastry."

"You don't need that to look like a pastry." Seriously.. why can't I pick my wedding dress on my own... I don't like shopping at all, and mom is making this even worse. Saying my wedding dress is making me uncomfortable.

"Ugh, come on mom, stop it. Hey, what about that one?" Alexandra says. She's an angel.

"That's pretty but it's too... open for me."

"Okay fine, what about that one? I like that one." mom's choice is getting even worse by the seconds.

"Mom, it's too old for her. This is her marriage, not yours. Please." Alexandra is the best sister in the whole planet.

"Don't waste any time. You have to meet Xavier to the food-tasting in 3 hours. "

"Mom, it's not exactly an easy decision to make." I sigh with annoyance.

"Do you know what kind of dress do you want?" Alexandra asks me.

"Kind of? I'm still a bit unsure. I haven't exactly thought of this." Who knew that I would be getting married at 22.

"How about this, I have a friend. She's a very good and pretty famous designer. Do you want to make your own dress? If you want it, I can tell her and you can meet up with her to discuss it. There are still 25 days, and she got a great team."

"Yes. Absolutely yes. Thank you thank you thank you, Alexandra." That's the best suggestion ever. I feel so relieved. I hug her instantly.

"No. Absolutely not. You have to wear a well-known brand. Your marriage will be the headlines, people in the country will talk about it."

"Mom, stop. She's the one getting married, she's the one making the decision. " I love my sister so much. She's the only one keeping me sane in this marriage preparation.

"Fine, I'll tell Paulina to tell Xavier to pick you up later in the house. Alexandra, help your sister pick her clothes for later... No, I'll pick your clothes."

"Hey" I enter his car. Uncomfortably. Mom told me to wear her red heels and she told me to wear a skirt which I hate. Thank god, I ran earlier so she didn't see that I brought my ripped jeans and a white t-shirt with sneakers. My fav.

"Hey, Jess. Uhm.. do you want to change your clothes? Not because you don't look good or anything, but you seem uncomfortable."

"Nah, not now. I'll change later. My mom is looking at us right now from the second floor. Now chop chop, let's go."

"Okay, ma'am."

He is incredibly handsome. Oh. My. Gosh. Maybe there are more than a few positive side in this marriage, not only that he's nice and positive thinking, but my eyes will see a beautiful view every day. I think he just got back from work. That hands damn.. rolling his sleeves, is a good decision.

"Your hands are really beautiful." NOW, WHY DID I SAY THAT... I really have to make a filter in my brain so I don't end up saying stupid and embarrassing things. Like this.

He laughs. "Thanks. And you're really honest. Most people won't say that."

"Yep. You're right. Sorry, I'm not usually this weird. I promise."

"It's okay, I like weird. It's... adorable," he smiles warmly. Aw, his eye smile. Giggle in your heart! Giggle in your heart! Don't let it get past your mouth! But of course, my tomato face betrays me...
