Callin
“You have made a remarkable amount of progress regaining your memories” Matt says. “I think you're ready to go home, Callin.”
I am speechless for a moment.
“I – I haven't gotten everything back yet” I say.
“But you will” he replies. “And you don't need me anymore.”
“I . . . thank you” I say softly.
“You can leave sometime next week” he says. “Probably Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll have a few more sessions, but I really don't think they're doing much at this point.”
“Thank you so much” I say, and I'm grinning.
I can't help myself.
I want to go home.
I remember it now, I remember almost everything.
The only part I'm still missing is why I met Louis.
I remember being outside an interview they're going to, and then it's mostly one big blank until the date in the rainy courtyard.
Something big happened, something traumatic, because Harry has nightmares and they keep asking the boys in interviews about something bad, but none of my memories are as specific as I want them to be.
But it will come back, I know it will.

Annalise
“Your medication seems to be working” Theodore, my therapist, says. “Have you had any breaks with reality since you switched?”
“Nope” I reply.
“I've talked to Jane, she says you've gained a whole kilo” he continues.
Jane, my anorexia therapist, is more obsessed with my weight than I am. Then again, it is kind of her job.
But she's right, I have gained weight.
I've been eating.
And the medication for my schizophrenia has been working.
No hallucinations.
I'm one of the lucky ones, the ones the medicine works on without too many horrible side effects.
Most are not that lucky.
“I think, and Jane agrees, that it's time to phase you out” he continues.
I think my mouth drops open.
I'm leaving.
Soon.
Going back to my parents.
Going home.
“It will be a few weeks” she says. “But you're ready to go home.”
I can't wait.

Callin
I meet Annalise and Jack at lunch. It's chicken nuggets today, which is one of the few things our dining hall gets right on a regular basis. Annalise has some, and she's even eating them. She's been eating more since the day I met her. It must be a good sign.
“I have something to tell you” I say as I sit down, and Annalise says the exact same thing at the exact same time.
Jack laughs.
