Annalise

Nurses rush to her side a moment after Harry calls her name.

Liam and I run over to her as well, but the nurses won't let us through.

Jack joins us a second later.

“It's just a memory, right?” he says. “She'll be fine in a minute.”

I can see her, on the floor, when the nurses move. Her eyes are closed and she's so pale and I'm so scared that it isn't just a memory this time.

That something's really wrong with her.

One of the nurses calls 999, and Callin is still out.

When the ambulance arrives, she is still out.

When they load her onto a stretcher and carry her out, she is still asleep.

I try to follow them, to get to the ambulance, to be with her, but my nurse pulls me back.

She holds me as I fight until I realise it's no use.

Liam and Harry follow her out.

Jack stands next to me, looking as if he's feeling as helpless as I do.

It's just a really long memory, I try to tell myself.

She'll be fine.

She has to be.

Harry

The last time I was in an ambulance, I was unconscious.

They has just pulled me out of the car accident.

The same one that's probably hurting Callin now, a month later.

The time before that, I had been pulled from Lavender's abandoned warehouse.

I've been in too many ambulances.

Now I'm in this one with Callin, and Liam's here too, and security is going to meet us at the hospital instead of the rehab centre.

It's a long ride.

But it isn't.

It just feels so long.

Endless.
