So, idk why I'm doing this, but I just thought I'd show my sketching process? I'm totally not perfect, and everyone's process is different, but I saw Quicksilver345 do this and I wanted to as well, so here you guys go

So, I usually just start with my sketch layer, and this is the first time I actually used color for it, which I think I like a lot. It's a lot easier to see all the individual layers, and you know, who doesn't love color? Also, I will admit this isn't my initial sketch, since as I go along I tend to refine it and erase the basic shapes to see what it looks like without them.

So, then I do my line art and add my flat colors. IbisPaint is being really weird, and the brush sizes are so much bigger than normal. I've been using my brushes at 0.3, which is the smallest size, and it's still too big, and it's annoyinnnggggg. But I'll deal I suppose. Also, a little tip I learned recently—if you want to, do your line art in a different color other than black, set that layer to multiply, and when you color under it, the line art will change color with it. That's what I did with Biana's hair. (Also, her hair is kinda weird and idk why)

So, then I generally add my shading. I decided to show you my layers because there's something cool that ibisPaint does called clipping, and if you clip on layer the the layer underneath, then whatever you put will only show up on whatever you put in the lower layer. It's super useful, cuz erasing airbrushes is a nightmare....

Then I do the hair. Biana's looks not great right now, but I will fix it up later, don't worry. We just had some layer complications. But usually for hair I only use three colors: the base, the shadows and the highlights. For blonde hair though, I tend not to do highlights as much and instead do "strands" of a darker color—not darker than the shadow color since you still want that to stand out. Usually I'll use brown or a desaturated yellow, but this time I used orange, cuz why the heck not. For Biana, no strands cuz her hair's too dark, but shadows and a tiny bit of highlights at the edges of her curls

After I'm done with all that, I add a single color background cuz I'm lazy and boom, done!!
