Jin Kazama, the young man of 22 years walked out from the shadows in a pair of black jeans, frayed at the thigh and with a flame motif on the right leg. His arms still had the mark of the Devil which was darker than ever, his forearms and hands in dark red power gauntlets, his hair spiked and his fringe falling over his whitish-blue eyes, followed by the small force of Lars, Asuka, Hwoarang, Lee, Jun Kazama and Kazumi Hachijo-Mishima. Jin walked out and stood with his eyes closed, focusing his energy on the battle ahead.
Everything slowed around him and he felt a whoosh of air flash past his head and he turned round and launched his right arm with a grunt and connected with nothing other than air. But what he did see was a shimmering outline. The spectre in front of him was none other than his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima.
"Kazama. I see you've returned to the place we last fought, or what remains of it anyway. The aura around you shows determination and intent to avenge.... A Kazama trait. I also see others with you. You will need them against Kazuya."
Kazumi stepped forward, her eyes glistening with tears as her voice broke,
"H- Heihachi-san?"
"Kazumi, my dear, I'm sorry for what I did all those years ago. I was simply trying to forget that Kazuya had a part of you in him and that drove me to rage," the deceased Mishima confessed, "I was able to see my grandson one last time before I finally left this world. Jin, my child, you must kill Kazuya. I know Kazumi would never-"
"On the contrary, my son must die in order to purge us of the Devil's power. This battle is the only way. This is the ending of the war that Jin started."
"She's right, Grandfather. I sent this world to Hell, and this is all on me. It's up to me to bring it back, and it is up to me to kill Kazuya."
"Good luck, all of you."
As Heihachi's spirit faded, a tear dropped from Jin's eyes, momentarily turning back to their hazelnut brown. They then flashed back to the whitish-blue of mental alertness. The wind that was blowing moments earlier had stopped, leaving a tense stillness in the air.
Everything seemed to slow down for Jin, Kazumi, and Jun, the conduits of divine power.
"Your goals are admirable, yet unachievable, Kazama Jin," Kazuya gloated, a hungry and condescending smirk plastered on his scarred face, his back still raw from the last battle he had with Jin, "You have managed to control the devil, and brought my mother and wife with you. A valiant effort, yet futile."
"Now!" Jin yelled and the group of 7 charged Kazuya, while Jin brought up the rear, his shoes slamming in the concrete as two generations threw a punch at each other and met halfway. Kazuya was fazed for a second and that was what Jin needed. He slammed his foot upward and sent Kazuya flying vertically, and that was the opening for the rest. Lee flew at Kazuya and kicked him in the ribs, Lars brought down an attack to the back of Kazuya that made the air burn with lightning. Jun Kazama and Kazumi Mishima worked in unison like twin tornadoes. They seamlessly turned into their other forms and took to Kazuya.
Again, everything slowed. A blast of purple energy sent everyone flying back while Jin stood in his stance.
"Enough games! This ends here, Jin!" Kazuya snarled. The young and the old let off some massive energy surges and in a fast-paced frenzy, went on the offensive. But for the most part Kazuya had the upper hand and as soon as he slammed Jin into a wall, he took down Asuka, Hwoarang and Lee. Lars was dangerous, but predictable. With fatal timing, Kazuya launched a punch that froze Lars and he fell forward, his body entering rigor mortis almost immediately. Kazumi and Jun were the last to go down, but they couldn't be killed. Jin's mind was clouded by rage and he flew at Kazuya, only thinking to avenge those that fell to help his gain. But this was of no use. Jin roared and launched a flurry of punches and sent Kazuya flying back.
"Welcome to your grave, Mishima," Jin spoke raspily.
With an angrily offended expression, Kazuya sent Jin flying through the wall, and a cloud of smoke encompassed the four.
