"Hangman has the hots for the teacher."
Bradley wanted to die.
Phoenix shook her head at their antics while Bob winced in sympathy for poor Kade Kazansky, who potentially suffered the attentions of one Jake 'Hangman' Seresin. Fanboy was a major believer of this theory, but Payback wasn't buying it. They were putting money on it. Coyote was being strangely quiet through it all. While most of his fellow candidates hooted and hollered, Bradley rolled his eyes back towards his locker and forced himself not to gag.
Of all the things that Bradley did not want to talk about, Jake Seresin's lovelife was at the very top of that list. Somehow, however, it had remained a popular topic of conversation amongst their fellow candidates. Everybody liked a mystery. Rumor was that Hangman was chasing after a new girl somewhere in Miramar. Still, he was being uncharacteristically tight—lipped about it, though. The theories had ranged far and wide about who it was; to Bradley, this theory was the most disturbing. The fact that anyone could look at Kade Kazansky and see her as anyone but Bradley's sister... it freaked him out.
But if Hangman was interested in Kade, he unfortunately wasn't the only one. More than once, Bradley had caught more than a few of the recalled pilots checking her out. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore.
