Aurora Argent had dropped her cousin off outside of their apartment building before she took off to spend the night with Lydia where she could lay on Lydia's overly comfortable bed and eat copious amounts of food and watch stupid movies, and read over the extraordinarily easy math homework. But instead, the strawberry blonde directed her best friend to her car.

"I was just screaming, you know, like a lunatic and she didn't even hear me" Lydia explained to the brunette beside her who was twisting the dial to the radio, although no sound was coming out.

"Hmm" Rory hummed out a laugh her green eyes glancing up at the full moon that sat high in the sky,
"Lunatic"

"The irony, right?" Lydia hummed back.

Rory sighed as she let go of the radio dial, realising that she wasn't going to get it to work, slumping back in her chair and catching sight of the street that they were on,
"Uh, Lyd, where are we going?"

"The store" Lydia answered bluntly before releasing an exasperated sigh when she glanced over at her friend who was giving her a blank look,
"For aspirin, for my headache, Rory, baby, we talked about this"

"Well, I was only asking because you're going the wrong way" Rory informed her,
"The store was left back there, not right"

Lydia pulled into the parking lot to the public pool causing Rory to glance over at her,
"And here we'd find goggles, floaties, towels, sunscreen – you know, at the concession stand, although we're about five hours too late or seven hours too early"

Lydia ignored her friend's rambling, getting out of the car causing Rory to mirror the action, walking around the car to stand beside Lydia,
"Lyd? Are you okay?"

"Oh my God" Lydia muttered as she caught sight of something floating in the water, the pair slowly walking forwards, Rory shook her head slightly and stopping a few feet behind Lydia who crouched down beside the pool,
"Please don't be dead, please don't be dead"

Lydia flipped the body before visibly deflating at the sight of a life-saving dummy, although Lydia's head snapped up once Rory called out to her,
"Lydia, don't move"

"What?" Lydia questioned before her eyes landed on the pool of blood and bloodied up body that Rory was staring at. A wailing scream tore from Lydia's lips that echoed all throughout Beacon Hills, it was high pitched and would have set anyone's teeth on edge, but Rory didn't even flinch.

"Rory, Lydia" Stiles called out as he rushed over to them, stopping beside Rory, placing his hand on her back gently,
"Are you guys okay"

"We're okay. That," Lydia stressed at him as she pointed over at the body,
"Not okay"

Stiles nodded slowly as he fished his phone out from his pocket,
"Yeah, all right. I'm gonna call my dad"

"I already called 911" Rory informed him with a small shrug.

Stiles spun around to her,
"You called the police before you called me?"

"I'm supposed to call you first when Lydia and I find a dead body?" Rory questioned in confusion, a small frown on her face.

"Yes!" Stiles exclaimed with a spastic arm wave causing the brunette to recoil away from him.
