"In her hands is my heart
And she won't let go 'till it's scarred"- Bryce Fox
_______________________________________"Do you think you can get this off me?"
"I don't even know what 'this' is" the lucky hero retorted, inspecting the golden wires around you while a plant minion that Jin had created for you before he left to help the others carried you and followed Hoseok who was leading you to the exit.
"Maybe you can use your luck to break me free" you tried to reason with the red head.
"My powers don't work like that.
I can't just force it, it just happens" sighing to yourself, you had grown annoyed at the restraining wires that had clung on to you for too long. The clay beast hadn't taken another step forward, which had meant there were no vibrations to throw your balances off while you tried to escape.
The park was now mostly empty except for the villains, heroes and the giant clay monster who continued to fight one another.
"Where's your family friend? Wasn't he with you?" Hoseok asked, concerned that he may have been involved with the villains who were trying to capture you.
"Oh... he managed to escape, don't worry" the mentioning of the president made you think about what he had said before. How did he know that Phantom was here?
You knew about his powers, which would have answered your question if it wasn't for the fact that he didn't warn you before hand. It would only make sense for him to have forewarned you since he had said you were in danger. So how did he know? Or did he... he couldn't have, you thought before shaking the doubts away.
"And he left you? What kind of guy would do that" not believing that your 'family friend' would leave you in such a dangerous situation, Hoseok thought how he must have been a coward.
"He didn't have a choice" you retaliated, trying to back up for the president.
"Everyone has a choice, Y/N. He just chose the safest option"
"He was forced to go!"
"Forced by who?!"
"He's the President of the hero council, Hoseok!" Stopping in his tracks, the Eros hero had to make sure that what he heard wasn't the world of his imagination. The plant minion beneath you also stopped abruptly, waiting for the lucky hero to show it the way as ordered by Jin.
"...say that again" gulping nervously, you regretted letting the secret out instantly, knowing that the other was trying so hard to find him but you didn't help him.
"...I'm sorry for not telling you before. It was just that his identity needed to be hidden-"
"And you couldn't trust me?" He interrupted while turning around to face you. You could see the shock and hurt in his eyes as he tried to read your expression.
"That's not it! I trust you so much, Hoseok-"
"Then why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you stop me from searching for him all this time?" Averting your eyes, you couldn't stand to see the usually cheerful hero so wounded because of you.
"... I see" and with that, Hoseok continued running towards the exit with you and Jin's minion following behind.
Guilt washed over you as you watched the red haired male run in front, still helping you escape from the park.
Suddenly, you felt as if you were getting further from the hero and soon enough, you realised you were floating in the air.
"E-err, Hoseok!" Whipping around at your panicky voice, the mentioned hero watched as you floated even further away from him and towards where the chaos was.
"Y/N!" Looking around for any thing that could help him get to you, his eyes landed on the plant minion in front of him.
"Throw me!" The pink plant could only stand there and wait for the hero's next actions just as it was told to do so by it's creator.
Groaning in annoyance, Hoseok tried to look for another way to get you down and hopefully his luck would follow his lead.
To his luck, he found the archery station that was meant for children and let play to win prizes if they hit the balloons.
You watched as he ran over to his left and grabbed a bow and arrow along with some rope. Confused, you examined him tie the rope around the arrow before placing it accordingly on the bow.
"Come on, luck Gods!" Stretching the string back, he finally let go after aiming for a short while and watched in anticipation as it flew over you.
You closed your eyes, scared that it might accidentally pierce right through you, even though you knew what Hoseok's power was.
Instead, you heard it zoom past you along with the sound of the rope trailing behind it, making you open your eyes hesitantly.
The arrow had managed to hit a nearby tree and the long rope was now slung over you, making you wonder what the Eros hero had in mind when he decided to do that.
Looking back, you saw him aiming again with another arrow that had the other end of the attached to it.
"What are you-"
"Just trust me!" And with that, he let go once more and the arrow flew below you this time, hitting the same tree as where the first arrow was.
You stopped floating away as the rope was now holding you down, making you sigh in relief at Hoseok's quick thinking.
"You did it!"
"Of course I did! I'm this country's lucky charm!" Smiling widely, you watched as Hoseok was about to make his way over to the tree to pull you down but the ground suddenly shook once more, making the plant minion cushion his fall.
The mini earthquake had also unfortunately made a nearby lamppost fall on the rope connecting you to the tree and pulled one of the arrows out in the process, letting you float off once more.
"Hoseok!" Looking to where the sound of your call was, the Eros hero was about to stand up and run over to catch the rope before it completely fell off of you until the earth shook again, making him fall in to a nearby ball pit.
Wriggling out as fast as he could, he watched you float away even further and thus losing his chance to save you. Cursing under his breath, Hoseok felt something poking at him within the ball pit which lead him to reach in and take out three wallets.
"I hate being lucky sometimes!"
