"Yea— I'm fine!" I say, flustered.

____________

George's POV

I can feel my face getting hotter, and probably redder too.

"Dre- Clay I'm j-just gonna go- (COUGH COUGH COUGH)" I choke out before dying. (i legit had to look up hwo to add coughing when ur writing)

"Oh my god, George!" Clay says before laughing in my face.

"I'm going back up!" I say, making an attempt to run up the stairs.

"Waittttt! Georgeeeeeee! There's a ravine!" Clay whined pulling me back. He handed me an iron pickaxe and pointed across the ravine. There was a huge vein of diamonds on the other side. "Your turn, George! Go get 'em!" Clay says pushing me.

"Why can't you get them?" I pouted. I looked at Clay. He pulled out a water bucket and gave it to me.

"You need to try and do stuff so when I'm not around, you can do it yourself." Clay nudged me closer to the edge.

You know the unspoken rule, 'Don't look down when way up high.' Well, I stared down. I begin sweating as I start stacking over with some cobblestone, carefully placing each one. The ground was so far down. I feel like I've been stacking forever! I'm so close!

Then I fall.

I close my eyes.

I'm going to die. Goodbye cruel world!

...

Why am I not dead?

I open my eyes to see Clay dying of laughter above. I look around I landed in a pool of water and wait- that wasn't so high! It was like 5 blocks up!

"George! You're so stupid!" Clay said giggling.

Ouch, that hurt.

"S-Shut up Dream!"

"oOooOoo using my Minecraft name? Are we now, Georgie?"

My whole face must've turned bright red.

"Come on up. I placed some ladders." Clay said shaking his head.

I climb up the ladders and mine the diamonds. There were like 7 of them. Not too bad!

I was mining the diamonds when an arrow whizzed passed. I spun around to find, not one but two skeletons shooting at me!

"Run George!" Clay yells at me, running to block the arrows.

Obviously I ran. I ran back to the stairs we made earlier. I get a little worried.

Maybe I should've helped.

A few minutes afterwards, Clay runs back to me, trying to catch his breath. He had an arrow sticking out of his shoulder.

"Clay!" I go to him, checking on his shoulder. It was too dark for me to see in the cave. "Let's go up, it's too dark here." I said with worry in my voice.

I quickly help Clay up the stairs, back into our house. (I almost put Darryl, oops wrong story XP)

Clay sits down on his bed as I lit a torch to get a better look. The arrow wasn't pretty deep. I could just pull it out right now, but it'll bleed a lot. I go inside a chest looking for some wool (the Minecraft band-aids). Clay is just sitting there, watching me as I scurry around the house trying to find the necessary medical supplies needed.

I come back to Clay with some pieces of wool and water.

"Okay Clay hold still." I say getting a firm grip on the stick of the arrow. I yank it out causing Dream to yelp in pain. I quickly apply some water on the wound before wrapping it in wool. I sigh, sitting down next to him.

"Thanks George." Clay mumbled with a faint smile.

"I'm sorry Clay." I whisper back.

Clay leans his head on my shoulder, "It's not your fault Georgie."

I smile back as I feel tears forming.

It is my fault though.
