Qiu Ling happily flew over to his Master's palace and stormed right into his study. "Master!"

Zhangsun Xun Yi looked up incredulously. Hadn't he brought this guy over to the special dimension just yesterday? How come he was already back? Don't tell him even that man wasn't able to deal with him? "Qiu Ling ... What are you doing here?". He rose to his feet and strode over but his disciple beamed at him in return.

"Master, the old geezer wants to see you! You should hurry over right now! It seemed to be extremely important." His eyes sparkled when he said so, making Zhangsun Xun Yi wonder just what his disciple had planned this time.

"You wouldn't have left the special dimension without his approval, would you?"

Qiu Ling's eyes widened. "Why would I? And why would I run over here after I did?"

Zhangsun Xun Yi's brows twitched. Was this his disciple's manner of reminding him that he hadn't done as the had been asked before and just left his room without him noticing? Was this really something to be proud of?

Qiu Ling reached over and grabbed the Grandmaster's sleeve. "Master, didn't I say the old geezer wanted to see you? Why don't you hurry over and ask him? You'll see that I said the truth!"

Zhangsun Xun Yi wasn't sure that his disciple could be trusted. In the end, there was nothing he could do other than follow his advice though. "Then I'll go and see what he wants. You stay here and meditate. Understood?"

Qiu Ling nodded. Sure, he definitely did understand that his Master wanted him to stay here and meditate. The old geezer had said that he didn't care what he did though so why shouldn't he go and see his beloved instead? His Master certainly couldn't expect him to listen to him after he handed him over to the old geezer, could he?

Zhangsun Xun Yi still wasn't sure that he could leave Qiu Ling alone but it wasn't like he could ask him to return with him to the special dimension. If that man had wanted Qiu Ling to be there, he certainly would've told him before. But he hadn't so maybe this was something he didn't want to talk about in front of his disciple.

He sighed inwardly and nodded before he turned around. Well, in the worst case, he'd just have to go off in search for his disciple again when he returned. Thus the Grandmaster flew over to the array hidden at the foot of the peak and stepped into the special dimension, walking over to the lake in the middle.

Jinde was currently sitting on the boulder at the side of the lake, looking up at the sky.

Zhangsun Xun Yi went over and cupped his fists. "You wanted to see me?" He still couldn't help but worry that his disciple had made this up.

Jinde turned around and smiled. Even though Zhangsun Xun Yi's expression gave almost nothing away, he could imagine what he was thinking considering that he had been bothered enough by Qiu Ling to dump him in here yesterday. "I really wanted to see you."

Zhangsun Xun Yi heaved a silent sigh of relief and lowered his hands. "What might be the matter? My disciple wouldn't have done anything inexcusable, would he?"

"Something inexcusable ..." He sighed. Maybe it was inexcusable. At the very least, it was dumb. But maybe that was also good. Being a bit dumb might not be bad for a dragon. If they followed their feelings, then maybe things would turn out for the better. Maybe back then, things could have been different if they had just listened to their hearts more. Maybe then, they wouldn't have ended up like this.

Jinde sighed again and turned to Zhangsun Xun Yi. "There's something I'd like to ask you first. Is there somebody in the sect your disciple is close to?"

Zhangsun Xun Yi frowned and shook his head. "No. He couldn't be. I took him in the day he arrived. He doesn't know any of the other disciples yet."

Jinde raised his brows. "Is that so?" His gaze roamed over the surface of the lake and he narrowed his eyes. He didn't believe that Qiu Ling had lied to him. Binding his soul ... That wasn't something a dragon would make jokes with. And he had honestly seemed happy when he mentioned that person. "Then could it be that there is somebody in the sect he knew before he came here?"

Zhangsun Xun Yi didn't know how to answer. "It has only been a few days since he came here. I'm afraid ... I don't know about something like that."

"Ah, I see." Jinde fell silent and pondered. He still felt that it was important to figure this out. Most likely, Qiu Ling wouldn't have any problem with telling him just who this person was but the brat had already run away. He also didn't feel like talking with him too much. That child ... It was better to let him figure things out on his own. "Then have you seen him being close with anyone? He ran out to play instead of meditating, didn't he? Where did he go?"

Zhangsun Xun Yi's expression darkened when the subject was brought up. "I'm afraid it would taint your ears if I said it out loud."

Jinde couldn't help but chuckle. This Zhangsun Xun Yi really had to think he was so pure. "Actually, even if you don't say it, it's alright. He told me that there is somebody in the sect that he likes very much."

Zhangsun Xun Yi's brows rose. His disciple had actually said something like that? "I'm afraid his words might not be very credible."

Jinde raised his golden brows. "Oh? Then what is Grandmaster Zhangsun's take on the matter?"

Zhangsun Xun Yi frowned. "When he escaped from his room, I found him in the outer sect spying on the martial sisters."

Jinde couldn't help but laugh out loud. "He did that?" He continued to chuckle, trying to imagine that scene. Actually, it wouldn't be too strange. Hadn't his father been just like that when he was young? Well, the matter with Qiu Ling was probably different. "Are you sure that's what happened? He wouldn't have been spying on just one of them, would he?"

Zhangsun Xun Yi wasn't sure how to answer that. "Well, the first time he was watching a group of them but the second time, I only found him crouching on the roof, looking at the building on the opposite side. Who knows if he was looking into all those rooms or just watching one of them? I can't say for sure."

Jinde nodded his head. "I expected as much. Actually, this is nothing for you to worry about. This isn't merely a disciple being disobedient. It's something he can't do anything about. In fact, Qiu Ling ... He is part of my race."
