Chapter 24

Since we one last time, the whole part of the axis of evil had the advantage of going first, which was us. The ice dancers were first and behind them were the cadets, us, and the daters/haters.

It didn't feel like a friendship. Mainly an agreement to not stab each other in the backs. We're going to see how long that lasts.

"Catch a flight to Siberia." I said while looking at our ticket. We ran off getting to a taxi and pulling one along that stopped for us. We got in and took off to the airport where we would be heading to Russia.

We got on the first flight, running to the gate that was still thankfully open. The other teams of the axis of evil were in the lead or behind us. Thank goodness we made it. The other flight wouldn't be leaving for another eight hours. I was still in premium but it was just me and Jacques.

"Welcome uhhhhhboard everyone." The man over the intercom said. "We will be closing uhhhh the cabin doors and uhhhh for the taking off."

"JUST GO ALREADY!" I heard Josee scream back in economy. Guess someone didn't want everyone to catch the same flight. Soon enough, the other teams made it. Emma came up to economy with us. Well, I guess it's just us three now. Geoff and Noah were gone so it was just us that remained.

"So you're called the axis of evil?" Emma asked me which made me groan just from being reminded of it.

"Yeah, apparently. I didn't name it. I wouldn't even refer myself as evil. But my group is and so is the rest of the teams." I said.

"You got that right," said Jacques with a grin.

Luckily, it was a pretty short flight. We all got off and ran to our destination spot. We got to the Don box as we looked at our card together.

"We have to do what now?" I said as I read the card. "We have to ice yacht to the coldest stie fore-hole in our swimsuits."

"Oh yay!" I heard Jacques said loudly. "I will look magnifique in my swimsuit."

Ugh. In this weather?

We took a taxi and headed over toward the spot. I got into a changing booth and put on my swimsuit in the freezing outdoors. I was shivering once I had my elastic two piece on.

I saw José coming out of the changing booth in his spandex swimsuit looking sexy in practically nothing but the shortest pair of swimming shorts possible. Man, if I still loved him I would be all over that. Now, it's just. . . nothing more than a hot stranger who happens to be the worst human being alive, in my opinion.

"How do I look?" José said who did a twirl in the freezing cold. I shivered.

"Like a hot dog with no bun," I said with a smirk. I may not like him anymore, but I was taking all my grudges and pushing it right back to him in the best way I could.

"Like you're any better. You're the one who married me." José said with a grin thinking he won this round.

"And you're the one who asked me to." I said right back. If we were going to fight, we might as well do it when we're winning this challenge. "Are we going to do this challenge or not? Or we still going to argue about it?"

"Let me think." José said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes, pulling him by the arm to get this challenge over with so I could put something warm on. It's too cold to fight.

We got to our ice yacht, getting in and taking off with the other competitors as we slid across the ice. We went by fast, passing the best friends and the daters/haters as we made it right after the sisters who managed to get to the other side.
