The minutes ticked into hours as Claire let the hot salty tears stream down her face. She let one last teardrop fall before she stood from her bed, wiped her red rimmed eyes with the back of her hands and walked slowly to her mirror. She took in her current state, her soft blonde hair still an absolute mess from Myrnin's, her kind blue eyes were puffy and red, her outfit a state. She sighed at herself and selected some clothes from her wardrobe. She knew she was going to see Myrnin later today and that they would have a less stressful day than yesterday so she didn't have to wear her crappy old clothes. She reached for a pair of light blue ripped skinny jeans and a pink baggy jumper. She pulled out some underwear and left it all on her bed. Claire walked into the bathroom and struggled for half an hour to get the crap out of her hair, she was soon clean and hopped out, put a towel around herself and headed back to her room. She sighed and changed into her new clothes, stood in front of her mirror and painstakingly dragged a brush through her knotted hair. She reached beside her brush and grabbed a hair drying, proceeding to dry her hair, then straighten it. She applied a little makeup and proceeded to walk downstairs. The house was warm, cozy, it was almost trying to hug Claire and tell her she wasn't alone. But Claire couldn't help but feel so hurt, the way he talked to her... She couldn't handle it, the pain washed over her again as she let her thoughts drift to the other night. And so, her mind was made up, she couldn't spend another minute here knowing his room was just upstairs. Logically, she knew Shane had been thrown out, but she wasn't thinking, she was hurting and all she wanted was to be able to get away from the overwhelming pain. She took off, running down the road, weaving her way between people, she passed Common Grounds but refused to let herself look through the window and see Eve. Not when she knew how much pain she is about to inflict on Eve. Her best friend, her partner in crime, her sister. Hopefully she wouldn't hate her too much, Claire let a small tear breach her eyes but blinked it back. She needed to breathe, in a place where HE wasn't. No matter who that hurt. She made it to founders square and took a deep breath. Bizzie was stood at the frot desk as per usual and wore a smile,

"Hi Claire, what can I do for you today?" She asked politely.

"I need to see Amelie now please" Claire said.

So Bizzie checked a few things on her computer and sent Claire straight into Amelie's office. Claire held her head high as she sat in the ornate chair. Amelie sat wearing a silvery blue women's suit that perfects matched her eyes, her white blonde hair neatly gathered in a bun, not a strand out of place. Amelie's eyes wandered over Claire, taking in her clearly bloodshot eyes, her rapid breathing from the run to the office and her confidence she was trying to portray in front of her. Amelie sighed lightly, already guessing what the young girl was about to ask for.

"Amelie... I cant stay here anymore, I wont stay here, I need to move away... I need to leave Morganville." Claire stated, her voice wavering.

"I knew you would request to leave Miss Danvers. And you may if you believe you must, you shall not be of use to myself or my town in this state. I will arrange plane tickets and an escort to drive you to the airport in precisely 60 minutes, you will be picked up from your home, be packed and ready to leave or you shall have to figure out your own way." She said, her voice cold as usual.

"Where will the plane take me?" Claire asked

"To Michigan, your homeplace, you may go back to your parents."

Claire nodded, unsure of what to do now. She had fully anticipated at least some pushback from Amelie but she was free to go, all she has was one hour left in this place she spent the last 2 years. She didn't know what to do, should she say her goodbyes or pack. She realised that she had no time for goodbyes now, not with only an hour so she took a deep breath and opened a portal from Amelie's office, as she was about to step through, Amelie's voice rang softly

"Goodbye child, you have been such a help in your time here, I shall throughouly miss you my dear," Tears breached her eyes as she watched Claire prepare to leave forever. But Claire moved away from the portal and engulfed Amelie into a huge hug, saying her teary goodbyes to the woman who protected her and owned her and was her friend, no matter how cold she could be.

Claire stepped back and walked through the portal, drying her eyes and ran to her room, shoving all her clothes into a suitcase, she stuffed her makeup and hair stuff in too, all of her shoes and her coats and her iPad. Everything was shoved into the bags she had with her the day she came to this insane town, and now they were leaving with her too. She had all of 14 minutes left before she never had to so much as think of Shane again. So she wrote a few quick notes, one for Eve, one for Michael, one for Myrnin, one for Amelie and one for Oliver. She then wrote a small note to all the other friends she made along the way addressed to them all, Monica, Hannah, Richard, Grandma Day, Theo, Patience and Miranda. She had a minute left as she hugged the wall and kissed the house goodbye, she left the notes on the kitchen table along with the months rent she owed. Wiping her eyes dry once more, she took her stuff to the path as the driver pulled up. She got into the waiting car as the driver moved vampire speed and put her luggage safely in the car. And that was it, she drove off past the "Welcome To Morganville" sign and let her tears fall once more, she would miss her home, her friends, the family she made here. But she needed a new start and this was it.... She hoped.
