Toni's POV
Okay. You got this. Take deep breaths. Just breathe. How should I do this? Maybe I should do it in notes first? Yeah...That way she can't get suspicious because there won't be the typing symbol. I wrote the paragraph out. I didn't make it crazy long, like essay worthy, but it wasn't too short either. It was as good as it would get. I then opened my messages with Cheryl and copy and pasted the paragraph. Sent. Oh god. I'm freaking out!!! I pray that she'll say yes.
Cheryl's POV
My phone buzzed and so I picked it up. There was a message from Toni. I could feel myself smiling before I even unlocked my phone. There was a large paragraph, so I began reading it. My heartbeat got faster as I continued.
Toni: Hey Cher. I feel like you might not be expecting this, but here it goes...You are the most amazing person I've ever met...or well, texted. Seeing a message from you makes me happy, no matter what. You brighten up my day. I hope you know how much you mean to me. You're incredible. You're special. You're kind, funny, talented. Not to mention you are insanely beautiful. You deserve the world. I swear if anyone ever hurt you, I would drive to wherever they are and beat the shit out of them. Anyway, I love facetiming you. I love your laugh and your smile. I love the way that you don't hate me for some of the jokes I make...or when I tease you. Basically, I can't imagine my life without you, because you changed it the moment you responded to that first message I sent. What I'm trying to say is that I like you. Like I really like you. And I know we haven't met yet, but I hope that doesn't matter. And I hope the fact that we live miles apart doesn't affect the answer to the question I am about to ask you. And if it does, then that's okay. But I gotta know, Cher...will you be my girl?
Toni: P.S I hope you realise how soft and cheesy you make me...it's disgusting
Toni: But please still say yes
Toni: But only if you want to...you don't have to :)
Cheryl: That is adorable and also the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me
Cheryl: And I would love to be your girl 💞
Toni: SERIOUSLY???? IT'S A YES????
Cheryl: Of course
Cheryl: I don't care about the distance...I care about you
Toni: It's official...I've turned to complete mush ❤❤
Toni: But I'm so happy 😊😊😊
Cheryl: Me too. Looks like we make each other cheesy hahah
Toni: Does this mean I get to call you my girlfriend now???
Cheryl: Yes it does, girlfriend xx
Toni: Yayyyyyy. I can't believe this, girlfriend xxx
Cheryl: Should we tell Veronica and all them??
Toni: Veronica kind of already knows. I sort of asked her for advice on how to ask you out
Cheryl: awwww that's cute
Toni: :)
Toni: But I'm guessing that Veronica has probably already told the rest of them about it
Toni: so I guess it's up to us to let them know it's official
Cheryl: you know...we could tease them for a bit...act like I said no or just not tell them that we're dating 👀
Toni: OMG genius 👏
Toni: Let's do it
Toni: I wonder how long we'll last...not sure I'll be able to keep it a secret for long
Cheryl: How come?
Toni: I wanna shout from the rooftops that Cheryl Marjorie Blossom is my freakin girlfriend!!!
Cheryl: stop it...you're making me blush
