Grace

Nothing. That's what I was feeling in that moment. Absolutely nothing came to my mind or my mouth. I just sat in that all too comfortable chair staring at the lit up laptop in front of me.

Alessio doesn't say anything; he simply just waits for me to answer him. Not even a smirk displays on those sharp lips of his.

I exhale and shut the laptop. I can tell he looks brazen by my sudden action and raises a single eyebrow. My body shivers whenever he does that.

"They used to by people I could count on, people I could spend time with," my voice finally leaves my mouth. "Now-Now they're just people. Average, normal, selfish people."

"That still doesn't answer my question, Grace."

"I told you who they were to me. What more do you want?"

"How come I can't find any information on you past five years ago?" My body suddenly got cold. "How come it seems as if you didn't even exists?"

I fidget with my hair trying to push some of it back into my bun. God, what am I doing?! Grow some balls, Grace.

"I....I don't really think that's any of your business."

"Now see, now that makes me really believe you're hiding something." He stands up out of his chair and slowly walks around his desk. "Since I'm your boss it is my business." I swallow hard when he makes it to my chair and is now standing behind me.

"So," he begins, "either you can tell me, or you can choose not to but I will find out anyway. However, it won't end well for you." I watch him walk back behind his desk and sit back down. "Your choice, Grace."

I take a deep breath before I pull down my bun letting my natural black hair fall past my shoulders. I stand up from my chair walking across the room, then I look right at Alessio and begin to speak. "About five years ago I lost my grandfather in an unfortunate accident, and those people on the computer did absolutely nothing for me. So I decided to do something so, so stupid that got me into a lot of trouble with a lot of people. That's all I can say, Alessio."

"Well fuck, Grace, that doesn't give me any information!" He slams his hands on his desk causing me to jump a little.

"I don't know what more you want me to say. It's my life and it's not any of your business so just deal with it!"

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me, Miss Collins! If that's even who you are."

"Well don't assume that you'll automatically get answers out of me just because we slept together!"

Ooooo....maybe you went a little too far on that comment, Grace.

"You're really starting to piss me the fuck off," Alessio tells me, still behind his desk.

Don't talk back, Grace. Don't do it. Keep your mouth shut!

"Maybe if you weren't so worried about knowing who I am, then you probably would have picked up on the fact that Antonio was a rat."

Alessio doesn't say anything. I simply just watch him roll up his white, dress shirt sleeves to his forearms. God, why was that so hot? Then I watch him take off his watch and a golden ring on his left middle finger. I've never seen him wear those things before.
