The wind was howling across the untamed trees. The Plasma Frigate managed to land within the crater's forest, having the ground beneath them completely covered in a thick layer of ice. The grunts began to file out of the ship, scouting for anyone that may come by. Serving as Lord Ghetsis' eyes and ears as he fulfills his goal.
Stepping over the fallen branches of the trees, Luck ushered her group through the lands. She glanced back to the ship on occasion, concerned with the other members on board. She looked to her troop, who were awaiting any further instructions.
She gave a sigh, placing a hand on her hip. "They've made it into the ship. Scan through the forest if they manage to get out. We cannot let them get in Ghetsis' way."
The four soldiers saluted out as they began to split up around the different sections of the map. However, the admin stayed put, looking to the Frigate once more. With a small bit of hesitation, she pressed on her earpiece.
"Sir, what's the status on the trainer?" she breathed out a warm breath from beneath her mask. The distant sound of a fainting Klinklang cuts in through his side, there was a slight pause before he could answer.
"They were able to take me down. They've gotten stronger, a full team of six. Ghetsis will be down momentarily, the Shadow Triad may be able to stall them, but with the trainer's arsenal I don't think they stand a chance." Luck squinted in concern as she clutched onto one of her Pokéballs.
"I was able to document their capabilities while in battle, do you wish to have them for reference? They could help..." She glanced down to her belt as she thought for a moment.
"Sigh, if even the Shadow Triad won't stand a chance, what makes you think I will? ... I'll try to entertain them at the very least. Thanks for the offer though. I'll see you when this is over." she signed off, finally taking the balls off of the strap, and letting out her Pokémon.
They looked to her with confident stances, in waiting for her to say something. Her Gardevoir could feel the tension of their trainer, Serperior could sense the frustration from their trainer, and Chandelure could see the soul almost shivering from within her. But each one didn't show a sign of concern, for they didn't want their trainer to worry.
"This is it. That kid might come out of the ship any second now, stop all of this from happening or mess up and end the world. Whatever it may be, we can't stop them, I know we're not strong enough."
Her fists clenched together in irritation at herself for saying that. She didn't want to admit that they were done for, but after what Colress had said, it wasn't hard to not think of it. Her Pokémon couldn't help but inch close to her, wanting to reassure her.
A saddening smirk was on her face. "Doesn't matter. We'll just have to put up a fight and delay them. We can at least do that." her Pokémon nodded in response.
Luck's eyes shifted to see what was behind her, the three also turned their attention. Her team went to the side when they realized who was coming their way. The Regal Pokémon gave a glare to them.
Lord Ghetsis.
"Luck, where are the grunts I assigned to you?" He gave a harsh stare towards the girl.
"I gave them the command to scan through the forest to find the intruder in case they were to get out, they might be able to stall them before getting to you." she spoke monotonously, hands behind her back as her feet buckled together.
"And what would you be doing?" he walked closer, his red lense reflecting her face.
"I'm going to stop them, even if I fail. That'll at least give you more time, sir."
