As Ash and the gang head closer to Cerulean City, Misty looks more amd more nervous. "Wait guys, why go to Cerulean City?! It's a bad idea!" Misty exclaims, Ash is clearly confused amd asks "Why?". "The city has terrible pokemon and is boring!" Misty said.
"But Cerulean has a gym. I'm traveling around to collect badges." Ash says.
"How about Vermillion City? It's beautiful, has a great harbor, a lot of great pokemon and a gym." Misty says, trying to persuade Ash and Brock.
"Okay. We'll go. " Ash says.
"Really?!" Misty says, clearly hopeful.
"After Cerulean City." Ash replies, Misty looks heartbroken.
After a while, Misty wander off from the group and Brock and Ash see a shop crowded with citizens and police.
"What's going on?" Brock asked.
They later learn the shop was robbed.
Officer Jenny thought that Brock and Ash were the burglars, but were quickly exonerated.
"What was stolen?" Ash asked.
"Weirdly enough, a giant vacuum and hose. No money, no TMs or TRs, nothing." Jenny explained.
The two went they're seperate ways as Brock had to leave and get supplies. They agreed to meet up later after Ash's match.
After a while, Ash, Pikachu and Eevee arrive at the Cerulean Gym.
They see three beautiful woman doing a synchronized swimming show.
The crowd was too big for Ash, so he went to the hallway.
After a while, the woman finds Ash.
"Excuse me, but we aren't interested in an interview." One of them said.
"I'm here for a gym battle." Ash said, the three understanding, but they decline.
Ash was shocked.
"We got beaten by three trainers from Pallet Town a while ago and had to rush our pokemon to the pokemon center." One of them said.
"We only have this." Another said, throwing out a Goldeen from it's pokeball.
"It only knows Horn Attack and of it evolved into Seaking, then it would put up a better fight." She said, returning Goldeen it it's ball.
One of them gets a shiny Seel, who has the badge on it's tongue.
The blond woman, Daisy cleans the badge and shows it to Ash.
"You wanted the badge right? Here you go then." Daisy says, Ash was clearly shocked. "Thank you, but I would rather earn my badges." Ash said politely, Daisy then said "Come on. A badge is a badge. Just take it."
Ash was just about to object when suddenly.
"Hold it!" Shouted Misty, who had just arrived. "I knew it. These three are your sisters, arent they Misty?" Ash said, Misty nodding. "I'm the fourth Sensational Sister!"
"There's only three Sensational Sisters and one runt!" One of her sisters jeered.
"Looks like I'll have my battle after all." Ash said.
The two get to the battle field.
"Pikachu! Be a Pika Pal for me and don't fight!" Misty cheered, Pikachu snarls, which startles Misty.
"Hehehe! Looks like Pikachu won't be your Pika Pal." Ash said snickering.
Misty then says "One on One!", sending out Starmie, Pikachu taking the field. Ash then takes out his Kakuna, Metapod, Pidgeotto and Cleffa.
"Hey! I said one on one!" Misty said.
"I just want them and Eevee to watch." Ash said, Pidgeotto helping the four pokemon to the bleachers.
"Starmie, Swift!"
"Pikachu, combo PAVT!"
Pikachu uses Protect against Swift, then speeds around with Agility and then uses Volt Tackle on Starmie, however, Starmie isn't backing down.
"Water Gun!"
Starmie repeatedly uses Water Gun, while Pikachu is dodging, the other three agrees that they got the looks, but Misty has the skills in battle.
"Starmie, Power Gem!"
"Iron Tail them away!"
Starmie shoots out the Power Gems while Pikachu swats them back at Starmie with Iron Tail, he then ends the battle with the last Volt Tackle.
Misty was shocked. "No way..."
Ash's pokemon cheers in the bleachers, very happy their master and friends won.
Daisy smiles and gives Ash the Cascade Badge.
However, the wall busts open with a contraption with a long hose and giant vacuum.
"What the...long hose...giant vacuum...The thief at that store!" Ash put together.
"How right you are little twerp!" A familiar female voice calls out. After their motto, they start to power up the machine,trying to suck up everything.
Kakuna and Metapod were furious and starts to evolve.
The group is shocked to say the least.
Ash's new green Beedrill and green eyed Butterfree cry out in anger, attacking the trio with Pin Missle and Bug Buzz, Pikachu chips in with a Thunderbolt, destroying the machine and making Team Rocket blast off again.
After the clean up, Daisy hands Ash a TM for Dive and a TR for Waterfall, having forgotten that when giving him his badge.
Brock tries to flirt with Misty's sisters. Bad idea because Misty whacks Brock on the head with a mallet, leaving Ash and the sisters stunned. Then the Seel goes to Ash, nuzzling his leg, Ash was puzzled and Misty and her sisters were shocked.
"I think Seel wants to go and be your pokemon Ash." Daisy said with a smile, insisting Ash have Seel, handing Ash Seel's pokeball.
Ash scans Seel.
[Seel, the Sea Lion Pokemon. Although it can't walk well on land, it is a graceful swimmer. It especially loves being in frigid seas. This Seel is level 23 and knows the moves is Aqua Jet, Icy Wind, Headbutt, Iron Tail, Ice Beam, Drill Run , Icicle Spear*Egg Move*, Horn Drill*Egg Move*,
Signal Beam*Egg Move*, and Water Pulse*Egg Move.]
"No fair! I want Seel! I known her more than you Ash!" Misty whined.
"If Seel wants to be with me, I'm not going to object." Ash said.
"Seel must've seen Ash use his pokemon to save everyone and sees him worthy." Brock theorized, hearing about the incident with Team Rocket, Seel nods happily.
"Well Seel, welcome to the team. "Ash said with kindness. He sends Seel to Professor Oak due to him having six pokemon already.
The group now heads of to the next town, as the journey continues.
