Our heroes arrive in Maiden's Peak.
Ash was reading a book about it's legend.
The story was two thousand years ago, men from Kanto were sent away to war. The maiden, from Maiden's peak, was in love with one of the soldiers and waited for him to return, on the cliff. But her lover never returned, they say he died in that war. The maiden never believed that and waited for him to return for the rest of her life.
They say that when she died her body became one with the cliff and they also say that her spirit still waits for her lover.
Misty found that sad, yet romantic at the same time.
When the group seperated, he goes off to the cliff and talks to Pkachu and Eevee as he took out a small brown box and a journal book from his rucksack. In the brown box was a very old ring, with a purple stone.
"Prof Oak told me about this. A man named Mato from Pallet Town was in that war two thousand years ago. He survived and when he returned home he wrote about it on some parchments. He even wrote that he made friends with the soldier that the maiden fell in love with".
<Are the parchments intact?> Pikachu asked, Ash then answers "I'm not sure. The reason why I wanted to come here is because it's only fair she has peace." Ash places the ring and journal infront of the statue. "Maiden, I'm sorry, but Mato is really dead. He never got to give this ring to you. I hope you'll truly rest in peace."
A Gastly appeared in front of him. It says in the human tongue "Thank you for bringing peace to my comrade. I wish to join you on your team." Ash accepted and checks Gastly's entry.
[Gastly, the Gas Pokemon. Said to appear in decrepit, deserted buildings. It has no real shape, as it appears to be made of a gas. This Gastly is level 34 with the Ability Levitate and knows the moves Lick, Hypnosis, Poison Gas, Will-O-Wisp, Toxic, Sucker Punch, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Dream Eater, Curse, Payback, Night Shade, Clear Smog*Egg Move*, and Disable*Egg Move*]
Ash gives Gastly a berry, to which he eats contently. Team Rocket was watching with teary eyes from Ash's noble action. "I know we were going to steal that ring...but I can't bring myself to do it." James weeps, the other two agreeing, then the ghosts of Maiden's Peak and Mato appears infront of Ash with a smile.
"Thank you for giving my love the ring." Mato said, Ash nods and replies "It's only fair. You worked so hard and she stayed loyal." The maiden smiles and they both disappear, their souls can truly rest in peace.
Ash, Pikachu, Eevee and Gastly head back to the pokemon center and calls Professor Oak, explaining what he did. "I'm proud you are my pupil Ash. Thank you so much." Ash smiled, but Oak then said "Do you have anything planned?" Ash was confused and said "Me and the others are on our way to Saffron City. Why?"
Professor Oak then said "Well, an old friend of mine asked me to have someone get him a ghost pokemon from Lavender Town. He specifically needs one of the jolly ones." Ash thinks about this and asks "Why?" Professor Oak explains that the person in question is the father of the Saffron City Gym and he wants Sabrina to smile again." He thought maybe one of those pokemon can help." Ash ponders this, the says "Alright, I'll do it." Professor Oak sighs in relief and says "Thank you."
Ash nods and hangs up. He starts training some of his pokemon and Rattata, Bellsprout, and Sandshrew evolve, hem learning new moves Thanks to some of his other pokemon. He scans them.
[Weepinbell, the Flycatcher Pokemon and the evolved form of Bellsprout. When hungry, it swallows anything that moves. Its hapless prey is dissolved by strong acids. This Weepinbell is level 36 and knows the moves Vine Whip, Growth, Wrap, Poison Jab, Sunny Day, ,Toxic, Razor Leaf, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb,Seed Bomb, Power Whip*Egg Move*, Bullet Seed*Egg Move*, Magical Leaf*Egg Move*, and Clear Smog*Egg Move*]
[Raticate, the Mouse Pokemon and the evolved form of Rattata. Its hind feet are webbed. They act as flippers, so it can swim in rivers and hunt for prey. This Raticate is level 48 and knows the moves Flame Wheel, Fury Swipes, Super Fang, Hyper Fang, Sucker Punch, Double-Edge, Shadow Ball,
Quick Attack, Thief, Tail Whip, Iron Tail , Double Team , and Crunch]
Glad I have great pokemon to tutor each other.
[Sandslash, the Mouse Pokemon and the evolved form of Sandshrew. If it digs at an incredible pace, it may snap off its spikes and claws. They grow back in a day. This Sandslash is level 48 and knows the moves Dig, Slash,

What will happen when they reach Lavender Town? Will Ash be able to help Sabrina's father? We'll find out as the journey continues.
