Tobias's POV

I am worried about Tris.  It has been an hour and a half since she left me with Percy and Annabeth.   She also said she'd text me when she entered the store and she hasn't yet.

Taking care of twins by yourself is hard work.  Tris had always helped me out with Shaliene, Will, and Natalie so this is my first time doing this alone.

I wait another five minutes and realize that it has been too long.  I look down into Percy's sea green eyes and Annabeth's light grey eyes, which I don't even know where they inherited those eyes from, and say, "Looks like Uncle Caleb and Aunt Cara are going to receive a visit from their niece and nephew!"  Since Cara is pregnant with a baby girl, it'll give them some practice to be a mom and dad.

I drop them off and head over to "Target".  I sure hope they're okay.

Tris's POV

Will, Natalie, Shaliene, and I are sitting down in the storage garage while Eddy Fargo, as he calls himself, talks on the phone with some "business associates".  I start to shift position when I remember something as I start to go over Eddy's weaknesses and finally get something: he didn't check for weapons.  If I could just get to the car, then I'll be able to grab my knife that Tobias insists that I keep in the car.

I tell the kids that it will be alright and they seem to be taking it well, except for Shaliene.  But a gun was pointed to her head and she is only five.  "Okay, we are gonna get out of here.  Just follow what I say."  They nod understandingly.  I grab Natalie's hand and walk over to Eddy.  "Uh, Eddy?  She needs to go to the bathroom."  I ask, holding up Natalie's hand.

    "There's no bathroom here."

"I still have a potty-trainer in the car."  He nods his head we walk towards the mini van.  Once he has his back to us, I reach for the knife, make sure Natalie's out of the way, and take my stance.  It's not like I haven't done this in a long time.  Tobias and I practice knife-throwing with Shauna, Zeke, Uriah, Christina, and sometimes Caleb, whom we taught to throw a knife.

As soon as I am ready, I swing and let go of the knife.  It flies and before Eddy Fargo can realize what just happened, the knife lands into his back and he falls to his knees.  He murmurs something that I am sure was dirty and lies on his stomach.  "C'mon, kids.  Let's go home."

Everyone was silent on the way back, probably too stunned to speak.  I come home to a worried Tobias and all I can do is go to our bed and sleep.
