Dear white people,

I'm black.

You may automatically assume that our skin color is the only thing that differs each other.

You may even assume that my dark skin is just that. Skin.

Well, don't assume.

Us black people have pride in our race.

We're derived from royalty.

My hair is my crown and my skin and features are my treasures.

My skin is what makes up of who I am and what I achieve to be.

To all the white people who says, "I don't see color:"

Without color, you're not seeing the whole picture.

Our darkness displays the mental, and physical, pain our ancestors were forced to endure with pride and power.

Black is beauty.

Not to put down any other race.

All races are unique in their own way.

But make no mistake,

The struggles my black skin goes through on a daily basis is what makes it so...

Majestic,

Enchantress,

Luxurious.

But there are some cons to being black.

In this book, you will learn about the many struggles black people have to endure because of our black skin.
