Billies POV

3:15pm

I watched the droplets from the faucet fall one by one as I sat with my knees to my chest in the bath. The water started to get colder by the second, making me shiver. I turned the water back on so it could get hotter. My arms immediately went back to where they were before, around my knees.

I don't wanna do this

I started off thinking about how wrongly today could go. I closed my eyes and threw my head back, a whiff of lavender from the bath coming across me. I took a deep breath.

I have to get that money

I can do this

My head dropped back down over my folded arms, strands from my bun falling out even more. I didn't have a choice, I wasn't going to let myself pussy out either. I was going to follow through with it.

I stood up grabbing my towel stepping out of the bath. I heard my phone from the counter. I was fully ready to be directed to do more shit by Brandon but when I opened it, my heart got warm for the first time since last night.

I bit my lip. I don't technically have to leave till later, seeing Lola would be the best reliever I could think of right now, andddd i did really wanna see that big ass house of hers.

She does always make everything slow down even if it's for a few minutes out of the day

Lolas POV

I heard the doorbell ring and I jumped up from my bed to run downstairs.

"I'LL GET IT" I yelled, even though no one was home.

I opened the door to see light satin blue eyes lay on my excited figure. Her lips turned up into a smile as she brought me into her embrace. I wrapped my arms around her neck. It was almost a thing that we both got really excited every time we saw each other. I can't explain it but just seeing her in front of me does something completely different to my heart.

"Hi mama, how you doing?" Billie spoke kindly into my ear as we kept our hug, her hand gently holding my head.

"I'm okay" I smiled taking her hands after we disconnected. "What bout you?"

"Hanging in there," she told me, her pushed over hair slightly falling into her face. I lightly pushed it back with my fingers, smiling softly.

"Damn," she said as she looked up from my eyes and at the sparkling decor around us.

"My mom's an interior decorator. That's all I'll say" I chuckled walking to the kitchen, billie stinging behind me while looking around in only awe.

"It's nice as hell" she smiled, looking around till her eyes set on me again from the other side of the counter. I laughed turning around to the fridge and tossing her an organic Capri sun.

"Ooh, my mom gets me these," she says excitedly taking the straw out and struggling to push it into the pouch.

I circle the counter and take the straw from her hands and push it in for her. I look up at her trying my hardest not to laugh as I place it back in her hands.
