The gun shot ran loud, the bullet zooming through their air going right passed Batman's head and into he head of the lone survivor of the massacre. Blood splattered everywhere as the bullet lodged itself into the head of the criminal. The action caused Robin to fall backwards, his eyes widened in fear.

"W-Where did that come from?" he stuttered out.

Batman spun around, catching a figure bathed in shadows standing on a rooftop with what looked like a sniper rifle in hand. The figure seemed to leave the sniper and turn around to walk across the roof.

"Robin, stay here and find out all you can," Batman told his side kick running off towards the roof with the stranger.

Batman grappled to the top of the roof, getting a high enough swing to tackle the figure into the ground. The figure, that Batman no identified as a man, quickly kicked him off and jumped to his feet. Batman got up onto his feet as well, glaring at the partially masked man. Batman scanned the man head to toe, seeing the silver skull painted upon his kevlar chest armor.

"Well, if it isn't the Dark Knight himself," the man seemed to chuckle.

"Who are you?" Batman growled. "You seem like a teenager."

"Too be fair, I'm almost twenty," He shrugged. "As for who I am, that's not really relevant to you. Although, most of the criminals I haven't already killed call me the Punisher."

Batman's eyes narrowed, there was a familiar feeling to they way he held himself. It was like he was prepared for a fight while being completely relaxed at the same time, "You're from the League of Shadows aren't you? You must have been someone high ranking."

"Not with the Shadows," Punisher glared. "But that doesn't concern you, now does it? So how about you stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of yours, deal?"

"Can't happen," Batman told him. "You're killing people, killing the villains only makes you like them. A person killing a killer doesn't change the number of killers in the world."

"Ah, so true. But a person killing three killers means there's two less killers in the world. I'll go for the second option."

Batman ran at Punisher, going for a roundhouse kick to his head, but Punisher ducked under it, throwing three punches at Batman, only two hit their mark. The two continued to brawl, both were evenly matched, able to dodge hits and continue to fight after getting hit. Batman took out one of his baterangs and threw it at the Punisher. He let out a grunt of pain as it his shoulder. He ripped it out, throwing it back at the masked hero before turning around and jumping off the roof. Batman managed to dodge the baterang as it lodged itself into the wall of the entrance to the staircase. He ran to the edge of the roof, attempting to follow the man, on the find that he was no where to be found.

"Batman?" he turned to see Robin running towards him. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, Robin," he breathed heavily. "Did you find out anything?"

"Yeah, there was another survivor, well not really survivor. He was alive and told me that the Punisher is responsible for the death of the this Triad, the Irish, the Dogs of Hell, and crippled the Russians," Robin explained.

"He's extremely well trained," Batman agreed, comparing notes. "His fighting style is very advanced, surprisingly so for a teenager."

"Teenager?" Robin asked. "When you fought him you found out he was a teenager?"

"Yes, but his fighting style, it was familiar, too familiar."

Robin cocked his head to the side, "What fighting style was it then?"

Batman remained silent, turning around to the stairway entrance, seeing his baterang stuck in a wall. He walked over and pulled it out of the wall, seeing the blood that coated part of the small blade.

"What's that?" Robin asked looking at the baterang.

"Evidence," was all Batman responded with before turning around and walking to the end of the roof, before grappling away, with Robin following closely behind.
