(looks up from her phone)

"yes kai what is it?"

"you know that really cute girl in taehyun's class?"

"do elaborate"

"you know hina? that japanese girl who's going to be in our school until october?"

yes that's my stupid cousin

(yawns)

"what about her?"

"i asked her out for an ice cream date after school,"

(frowns)

(smiles widely)

"she said yes and kissed my cheek!"

(continues scrolling through her phone as she tries showing disinterest in the conversation)

(smile slowly drops)

"are you okay haru?"

"i think it's stupid that she kissed you when she doesn't even know you that well. i also think it's stupid that you're crushing on someone who isn't even all that."

HUENINGKAI
(stares at haru in disbelief)

"didn't really expect that kind of response from you to be honest"

(rolls her eyes)

"what were you expecting? grow up kai, we're already in high school and there are people who are capable of hurting either of us. you should know better than to trust people easily"

(raising his voice)

"well guess what haru, out of all the people in this school, you're the first person who's hurting me right now so don't tell there are others who are capable of hurting me when you exist!"

HARU

(slams her phone on the table)

(shouting)

(silently packs up her things as she silently fumes in frustration )

"what, now you're leaving? classic haru move! why can't you just be happy for me? or for anything i do? does everything really have to go your way? i'm your best friend haru!"

"don't tell me that i didn't warn you if things don't go the way you want it to.
