I rushed up the stairs to go to my room. I turned the corner to see my door. It was still covered in those SpongeBob stickers that I had put up when I was ten. I opened the door, dust bunnies were everywhere. I guess my mom was right, they really haven't touched it since that afternoon 4 years ago. I began to sneeze like a mad man. I've never seen so much dust before.
"Mom!" I shouted, "can you please give me some dust cloths? It's really dusty up here." She threw a couple up the stairs. I started to take every object that was on a piece of furniture and gather it in the middle of my floor.
Hours went by cleaning my room until there was one picture frame left. I had no idea what picture could possibly be left behind the collection of dust. I wiped the glass to see a boy with black hair and brown eyes with a blonde haired green eyed girl staring back at me.
My eyes began to swell up with tears. "Poor sweet Emma," I cried. "How could she have gone on without me after all this time?" I picked myself up, wiped away my tears and made a dash for the door.
