I walked inside with Kacey following behind me. There were boys playing football, people throwing paper airplanes, and the girls talking and texting on their phone.

"Holy shit," I whispered under my breath. I tried to find somewhere to sit, but there wasn't any space.

"Everyone please calm down!"

A man spoke into microphone, making everyone terrified and settle back into their seats. I sat down on next to these boys on the tables. They looked at me and wink. I rolled my eyes and drew my attention to the guy.

"Can we move?" Kacey whispered to me.

"No."

She sighed and clung onto my arm.

"Welcome all freshman. I hope you all of a wonderful 4 years in this university. I expect all of you to graduate and have a successful future, telling all your coworkers that you miss being here. I'll explain the rules.."

I guess this guy was the Dean of the university. We were dismissed to go back to our dorms and get ready for our first day tomorrow. I sped up ahead of everyone and unlocked the door, falling onto my bed. It wasn't like my bed at home, but it was a bed. And I was tired.

Kacey came storming in the room and slapped my arm.

"You left me in that crowd!" She pouted and curled herself in a ball.

"Sorry," I laughed. I stood up and looked around the room. It was pretty empty, and I didn't like that. My room was overflowing with stuff, well not now because I took it here with me, but I couldn't handle looking at this naked wall.

"Let's go shopping," I pulled Kacey up.

"Clothes? Yes, yes, yes! I need more sweaters," Kacey grinned and ran ahead of me. We were about to reach the doors out of the building but someone stopped us.

"You guys should come to our party," A guy with an Australian accent said to me. He handed me a flyer and walked away. Kacey stood over me and read the paper. It was just for a stupid party for juniors.

"Why would he invite us to a party? Well.. maybe just you Corie.. You're really pretty," Kacey sighed and got into the car.

"If he did, then I wouldn't be interested. I don't want to leave my friend behind," I smiled and started the car.

"Friend? You really think of me as a friend?" Kacey widened her eyes in excitement.

I sighed, even if I didn't admit she was my only friend so far. I nodded and continued driving.

"How do you have a car already?" Kacey asked me. "You're all the way from Arizona."

"My mom had already purchased a car for me from a friend," I explained and slowed down when I saw a couple of buildings.

We stopped by at Hot Topic. Kacey pushed past me and ran to the store. She reminded me of a dog, a really excited dog. I went inside the store and bought a few CDs, records, and shirts. I thanked the cashier and waited for Kacey in the car. She knocked on my window carrying, 5 bags with her.

I unlocked the door and she placed the bags carefully in the back like a baby. I rolled my eyes at her and she blushed.

"I told you I love shopping.."

We went to a couple of different stores and Office Depot to print out some pictures for our wall. Then we went to Target to buy Christmas lights. It was 8:55 pm and we left the dorms at 5. I drove back to the university. I told Kacey to take most of the bags, since she bought the most stuff, I was looking at my phone and bumped into someone.

"Hey watch out," I said coldly.

"I apologize."

I look up and see a guy with curly brown hair and a lip piercing. He was one of the guys I saw earlier. I ignored him and walked to my dorm.

"Hey wait! What's your name?" The guy caught up to me.

"You're asking because?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe I find you cute and want to ask you out to a date," He blushed. He was cute, but he wasn't Shawn.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Sam."

"Well Sam, I gotta go," I said and walked away. I opened the door and saw Kacey jumping on her bed, jamming out to my radio.

I ran up to her and poked her sides, she smacked me with her phone and fell down, landing on her back. I clutched my cheek and checked the mirror. It was red and it burned.

"You! You did this to me!" I yelled at her pointing my cheek. She looked at me in horror and hugged me.

"I'm sorry!" She yelled, hugging me tightly. I pushed her off.

"It's fine."

I worked on my side of the wall. I changed the radio station and glued some pictures.

"So guys.. We have a special guest today. He's a upcoming star from Arizona.. Shawn Mendes!"

I looked at radio. I jumped from my bed and sat next to it.

"Hey guys it's Shawn."

I missed him so much.

"How's life been Shawn? You're going on tour soon. What's it like so far?" The radio man asked.

"I definitely miss all my friends and family. But it's great, I love working in the studio."

I wonder if Shawn misses me?

"Do you have any crushes? Secrets?" The man asked, trying to get him to confess.

"I have this one crush on this girl. I can't say" Shawn laughed.

"What about you and Mahogany? Weren't you two a thing?"

"We broke up because of the distance," Shawn cleared up.

I turned off the radio, like anything was about me. Shawn said that we would keep and touch, that we would still be friends.

But of course, distance ruins everything.
