It was September 26, 1966. Two men, Bert and Ernie, have enlisted in the US Airborne. They underwent 6 months of training. The two friends were placed in the same platoon and inside the same section of the platoon. They met some good friends along the way. First was Scooter. Scooter could probably hit a soda can off a balcony railing from 800 meters away if he wanted to. Scooter was the sharpshooter of the team. Next was Samusé. Samusé was the section medic who trained as a doctor for a few years before joining the army. Joe was next in line. Joe was the fire support and had a pretty big machine gun. Sanders was the Platoon leader and normally the Section commander. When Sanders was elsewhere Bert would supervise the group as he was a Specialist. There were other people in the group like Stefan and Grug but they weren't normally hanging out with the group. Everything changed when it was time to jump. April 26, 1967. The platoon had been training for this for about a year and a half. Little did they know how bad it would get.
