while they are still in texas, savanna shows bryce her favorite spots as a kid.
she brings him to a midwest only fast food chain, called culver's. they order their signature butter burgers and their creamy custard. "baby, this is heavenly" bryce says.
"i know. it's amazing, right? i missed this" savanna replies.
they also go on a hike on savanna's favorite hiking trail, and they bring annie. "it's so pretty" savanna says, mesmerized every time she walks the trail.
"just like you, baby" bryce says, pulling savanna in for a quick peck on the lips, making savanna blush.
they also do some tourist type stuff, like go to bonnie and clyde's house and go to the chase tower sky lobby, where they could see all of dallas from 40 floors up. as they stand facing the glass windows, bryce wraps his arm around savanna. "i love you, sav" he says.
"i love you too, b" she says smiling.

july 22nd
on their last day in texas, savanna's mom makes them breakfast and drives them to the airport. when they arrive, they get out of the car and grab their suitcases. "i'm gonna miss you, mom" savanna says, hugging her mom.
"i'll miss you, too, honey. call me whenever you can" her mom replies. when they release their hug, amy pulls bryce into a hug as well, "it was great meeting you, bryce. treat her well, okay?"
"i wouldn't treat her any other way. it was great meeting you, too" bryce answers.
the young couple walks into the airport and first checks in their suitcases then passes through security.
their flight to maryland is about two and half hours, and bryce falls asleep almost instantly, resting his head on the window.

when they arrive in maryland and have all their suitcases, bryce rents a car for the week.
the drive to his home takes kind of a while due to traffic, but it's not nearly as bad as la traffic.

they arrive at bryce's house and his mom opens the door. "hi guys, come on in" she says. the three of them sit down in the living room, "so, savanna. tell me about yourself" bryce's mom requests.
"i'm from texas, but i live in la. i'm 18. i'm in the modeling industry and i'm the boys' assistant" savanna says.
"that's nice. and how did you meet again?"
"well, jaden accidentally added me to their groupchat and that's where i started talking to everyone and then i became friends with everyone else's girlfriends and we all started hanging out as a big group. after a while, bryce asked me to be the boys' assistant and that's how we got closer. then he asked me on a date."
"that's adorable. well, i'll let you two get settled and i'll make dinner."
the couple brings their bags to bryce's room and they sit down on his bed. "your mom is very nice" savanna says.
"yeah, i love her" he says.
the two cuddle up and watch a part of a movie until it's time for them to go have dinner. bryce's mom makes the most amazing lasagna. after dinner, savanna and bryce head back to his room.
"i'm so happy our moms support us" bryce says, hugging his girlfriend.
