ALIYA SAT IN HER SEAT, WATCHING Ravi tremble at the scary movie in front of him. The popcorn he was holding began to violently shake, but the boy was unable to take his eyes off the screen.
Aliya laughed at her friend, taking some of his popcorn, before turning back to focus on the gory scene occurring in front of them.
"Do not be scared, Mr. Kipling. It is only a movie." Ravi said to the giant lizard
Mr. Kipling sat on the side table, with a matching pair of 3D glasses and a bowl of some dead insects
"Why didn't you tell me to not be scared? Do you not care for your dear friend?" Aliya joked, holding a hand to her heart
"You scare me more than this movie does, which is why I keep you around to protect me from Luke." Ravi said
She nodded at the boy's logic, before noticing what could only be Luke approaching the two in a terrible scary costume. Ravi didn't seem to notice, and Aliya knew she was supposed to keep him safe from Luke, but it would be so funny.
"What a very realistic movie! This 3-D is amazing!" Ravi said, convinced Luke's costume was apart of the whole thing
"I feel as though I can reach out and touch it." The boy continued, stretching out his hand and reaching for where Luke stood
The boy screamed after he touched Luke's hand, finding something was actually standing there. He screamed even louder when the hand fell out of the costume.
He threw his bowl of popcorn, covering Aliya in the buttery popped kernels. She groaned as Luke chased after the scared boy, who'd sprinted out of the theatre.
Mr. Kipling ran out of the room a couple seconds later, so the young girl left as well, not wanting to be the only one left.
"Im gonna kill both of you." Aliya snapped, pointing at the two preteen boys
Ravi looked a bit scared, but Luke just smirked at her. "You think this is funny?" She asked him, putting a hand on her hip
"No, it's not funny. It's hilarious." Luke laughed, pointing at the popcorn and butter that Aliya was covered in
"I'm gonna kill you for drenching me in butter soaked popcorn, and I'm gonna kill you for ruining my movie...and scaring Ravi." Aliya said, pointing between the two boys and adding the last part when Ravi glared at her
"I'd like to see you try, Dresmond." Luke challenged, stepping closer to her
He looked down on the girl, using his slight height difference in favor of himself. Despite the difference, Aliya continued to glare at the boy.
Not wanting to be the one to back out of glaring at each other, they failed to notice that both Bertram and Ravi had left them. It didn't end until they both had to go to the bathroom.
