"AND WHY SHOULD I HELP LUKE?"     Aliya asked Jessie, as she hung off the back of the couch

The nanny was insistent on getting the young girl to help Luke win some paintball competition against a kid he was having problems with.

"You're small and fast. Ravi also told me you're really good at it." She insisted, pushing Aliya to sit up and pay attention

"I'm gonna kill him. But, I still don't see what's in it for me." Aliya added, shaking her head from the sudden blood rush of sitting up

"I would say because it's nice, but I know that won't work on you. How about... you get to show Luke you're better than him?" She tried

This peaked the girl's attention, and Aliya turned to her for more encouragement, "Continue."

"Really? That was all I really had." She groaned

"I'm just kidding. Proving I'm better at something than Luke, is way more than I need." Aliya decided, leaning over the edge of the couch to resume her upside down position

The Dresmond girl's line of vision was suddenly crowded with camo and color on some kind of bean bag. She tilted her head to see a smaller version of the bean bag beside the first one.

"What in the world is going on?" She asked

Jessie began laughing at what Aliya could only assume was the same thing she was seeing. Aliya lifted up her head, to figure out the two bean bags covered in camo and neon were actually Luke and Bertram.

"If you'll excuse me, I'm off to clean up before dinner. We're having salmon." Bertram said, making his way through the living room with a scowl on his face

"Ugh, I hate salmon." Luke groaned

"I know!" Bertram replied, storming into his bedroom

"Great. When Bertram cooks angry, no one wins." Jessie groaned, upset with the outcome of Luke's first paint ball partner

"Well, if Luke loses then I win. So, this is good for me." Aliya smiled, ignoring the boy's glares

"Meanwhile, I still need a partner." Luke groaned, throwing himself down in one of the nearby chairs

"Good, cus I found you one." Jessie smiled, placing a hand on Aliya's shoulder

"No. Absolutely not." Luke argued, crossing his arms in defiance

"Why not? She's good at paint ball and she's got something to prove." Jessie insisted

"Yeah, beating me. I need a team mate I can actually work with. This won't work." Luke declared, pointing between himself and the Dresmond girl, before storming up the stairs

"Well, I tried." Aliya smiled, standing up to go bother Ravi

"Nope. You're staying on the clock. We both know he won't find a better partner." Jessie said, "Now, go dress like a zombie. That's what Luke's team is dressing as."
