Jungkook's palms were sweating. In fact, his entire body was drenched in sweat. He was positive he looked like a complete mess. Despite his negative thoughts, he tried to focus on the boy in front of him. Kim Taehyung, the only man he's ever wanted was slow dancing with him.
Little did Jungkook know, Taehyung was as nervous as him. If anything, he was significantly more nervous than Jungkook. When Taehyung asked him to slow dance with him, he didn't think Jungkook would actually say yes. When a smiling Jungkook took his hand and led him to the dance floor, Taehyung swore his heart melted right then and there.
Jungkook's eyes met Taehyung's as he threw his arms over Taehyung's shoulders. They moved along to the song, never breaking eye contact and smiling wide, being unable to contain it.
The song was coming to an end and Jungkook was secretly very unhappy. He wanted to stay in his Tae's arms for whole night, if possible, forever even. However, he knew the dance was ending soon and that wasn't possible. He smiled as he slowly pulled away from his love. He knew, the emotions he felt for the older were no longer 'like'.
He certainly didn't expect to be pulled back swiftly into Taehyung's arms. Taehyung smiled as he placed his hands on Jungkook's waist, pulling him closer than ever before. Neither of the boys knew where this newfound confidence came from, but they weren't complaining. Jungkook placed his arms over Taehyung's shoulders once again. They swayed in silence, eyes on each other, smiling as they got to be close to one another.
"Please don't mess this up, please don't let this ruin anything". Taehyung thought. He leaned in a little and whispered into Jungkook's ear, "Hi kookie."
Jungkook giggled. He fucking giggled and Taehyung didn't know if he would be able to keep his beating heart inside his chest.
He ignored the obvious awkwardness and replied, "Hi TaeTae. The song's over now, silly."
"I know. I just wanted to hold you close to me for more time." Taehyung's cheeks burned at the confession. He looked away; he couldn't look at Jungkook after saying such a thing.
Once again Jungkook giggled at his love's nervousness. Seeing usually uptight and dominant Taehyung nervous was cute. Well, Taehyung was just cute in general.
"You know I'm not going to complain. You're really warm, Tae. I can stay like this all night." forever even
Taehyung's heart fluttered at Jungkook's words and his cheeks burned. At that moment, he decided he would confess his feelings for Jungkook, "Kookie, I have to tell you something."
"What is it?"
Taehyung was nervous again. He sucked in a breathe and began, "I like you a lot. No, scratch that, I love you. I've had my eyes only on you Kookie, always. I think you have the prettiest eyes, the sweetest smile and the cutest giggles. You're my solace. I wanted to —nevermind, I hope this doesn't make anything awkward." Taehyung's eyes drifted to the floor as he couldn't find it in himself to look at Jungkook.
Jungkook lifted Taehyung's chin and smiled as he whispered, "I love you too TaeTae, so much," as if it was supposed to be secret between them.
"Can I kiss you?"
"I've been waiting for you to ask that since a long time, Tae."
Taehyung's lips met Jungkook's shortly after and he swore his heart stopped for a few seconds. The kiss was everything he imagined it to be. Jungkook's lips were soft and he could taste the red wine he had been drinking earlier. They broke apart, eyes meeting each other's, chuckling then after as they intertwined their hands.

"Should we remind them that the song has been over for twenty minutes ?" Namjoon whispered to his boyfriend as they watched the two boys in front of them.
"No, just let it happen. We've been waiting for this to happen since since forever. Plus I'm tried of the tension between them!" Jimin murmured back. He grabbed namjoon's hand and they walked out, leaving Taehyung and Jungkook alone.
