Chapter 5

Scott and I were with dad,
Scott said" Dad, really. We're okay."
Dad said" I should've been here. I said I would be at the games."
" Well, I mean this was just a pre-season scrimmage. I didn't even tell you about it."
" But I promised your mom I'd be around so she could pick up some double shifts at the hospital. I should've been here."
" You're here now."
We heard Violet say" Jordan Parrish?"
Parrish said" Deputy Parrish." Violet looked at us as she passed, we looked at her.
Dad said" Sheriff, what is that? Is that the weapon?"
Sheriff said" Yeah, it's a thermo-cut wire." Dad walked off,
" Parrish, hold up." Liam walked up to us,
Scott asked" Where's Kira?"
Liam said" She took off. Stiles told her about Lydia cracking the second part of the Dead Pool."
" Her mom's on it."
" Everyone's on it."
" You're not."
" Not yet. There's still another third, right?" Scott was listening in on the conversation, I listened,
Dad said" Now, we've got a file at the bureau on something similar. Used in over a dozen murders."
Violent said" I don't know what you're talking about. I just go to school here."
" Maybe we should call your parents then. Oh, no... that's right. You don't have any parents. That's why they call you the orphans. We need to find her boyfriend, Garrett."
Sheriff said" Coach, I'm gonna need both their locker numbers. And someone find me a set bolt cutters."

We were breaking into Garrett's locker in the locker room, Liam was watching out. Scott broke off the lock, he crouched down to a bag,
Liam said" I think someone's coming. Hurry." Scott opened the bag and I saw a lot of cash," You find anything?" I looked at Scott,
Scott said" No. Nothing."

I was jogging with Liam and Mason,
Mason said" It's not just that we were friends with them. They were using us for their cover. I mean, professional killers were using us. How are you not freaking out about that?"
Liam said" Trust me, I'm freaking out about a lot." Liam started going faster, I picked up my speed,
" Liam, slow down. Liam! Hey, Liam." I kept pace with Liam, then he even got ahead of me. I took off, I saw him get hit by a car.
Garret said" Hey, Liam. Sorry about missing movie night. Don't worry. I got something else planned." He stabbed him, running out there, I dodged the knife, I kicked him, he grabbed my leg and flipped me over. I fell to the ground, he stabbed me...

I woke up when I hit water, I looked at Liam, I held my chest, I looked down and saw the stab wound. I saw the wolfsbane,
Liam said" Help! Scott. Is anybody there? Somebody help me, please. Somebody help us!"
I screamed" Scott! Scott, help us! Scott! Scott, help please!" I flinched, holding the wound,

I said" Liam, listen to me." He looked at me," If this is the same wolfsbane they used on Brett, we don't have a long time, so we really need to get out of here."
He said" How?"
" I don't know! I-I... I don't know... uh, I'm not the one with ideas, Stiles always has the ideas!"
" Then think like him!"
" Uh..." I grabbed onto the wall, looking up," Climb... we gotta climb." I pulled myself up, climbing," Liam, come on." I held out my hand, he grabbed my hand, pulling himself up, We started climbing but fell." Oh, man! Damn!" I tried to climb up again but failed, I looked up, I looked at Liam." I'm not dying again, I can't leave Scott again."
" You died?"
" Yep, right after I was bit... I was in a coma... woke up in a tomb in Mexico, in a city where there was an earthquake..."

Liam tried to climb again but failed, he hit the water and punched the wall, I sighed. He looked up, I started coughing, he held me up,
I said" We gotta get out of here. Let's go again." We started climbing up again,
We were so close, Liam started coughing, I closed my eyes, I looked up again. I looked at Liam, we both yelled, which turned into howls, loud howls.
I said" Liam, hold on, just a little bit longer."

My feet slipped, I gripped tighter, hissing in pain, trying to find somewhere to place my feet. Our hands slipped, we were about to fall but Scott's hand grabbed my arm, I looked up and saw him. He pulled us up, and out of the well, he looked at us,
He said" You're okay, Liam, Cleo. You're okay." He hugged us, I laid my head on his shoulder, sighing, oh, that was too close for comfort.

I woke up to someone placing me on a bed,
I mumbled" The wolfsbane? Liam?"
Scott said" You're both okay. Deaton got the wolfsbane out in time. Get some sleep, you're in my room, Stiles is coming over."
" Okay." I fell back to sleep, as he rubbed my head, He kissed my head, holding my face.
