─ "DUDE! I'm telling you, Kelso's seeing a new chick. I didn't see her face but she's blonde and has an insane body..." Steven Hyde exclaimed, slumping down on the couch in Eric Forman's basement, "And her ass..."
Eric shook his head in disbelief, "He's probably just banging her to get Jackie back. This is Kelso we're talking about."
Hyde shrugged. Eric was probably right — since his break up with Jackie, Kelso had been desperate to make her jealous enough to win her back.
"I was over at Jackie's this morning," Donna interjected, glancing between the two boys and Fez who had so far been silent, "She's so down, it's really depressing."
The group continued to discuss the situation, none of them believing that there was any chance Kelso would actually want to date anyone else, no matter how terrible a boyfriend he could be to Jackie at times.
Kelso's generic-teenage-boy attitude towards sex meant the gang knew he was merely trying to both make Jackie jealous and satiate his so-called 'needs'.
"Well he said he was taking a girl out for real, didn't he?" Fez wiggled his eyebrows, before gasping as he made a realisation, "do you think I can ask Jackie out now?"
Everyone's heads snapped towards him, scoffing mockingly at that being his main concern, "Fez, I don't think that's a good idea."
Fez frowned.
"Yeah Fez man, that's a bad idea. Jackie's on the rebound right now. Why don't you just give her a break." Hyde reasoned, Eric nodding in agreement.
Fez didn't reply, falling silent and dropping his head a little just as Kelso himself walked in — not alone.
"Told you!" Hyde exclaimed, but he was stunned into silence when he saw the girl's face.
He noticed the panic in her face too, acutely aware that she'd had that expression even as she was walking in the door.
