In this chapter I'll give reasons why you should join some sort of instrumental class (whether it's band, orchestra, etc.) if you haven't already. The first two reasons have been scientifically proven as well and I will provide links later on to websites that back me up on those reasons. You can just copy and paste them into your search bar.

- It builds team working skills. In order to put on a great performance for an audience you have to rely on your classmates to put in the work and practice. In return, you have to practice and put in the work. You'll suffer your losses and mistakes together but you'll also get to enjoy your wins together.
- It builds critical thinking skills and help with memorization. You build a lot of muscle memory from practicing and playing an instrument. You have to remember what your instrument's fingerings are along with memorizing pieces of music, which once you gets started can be very easy.
- Sometimes you get to go to awesome places. My band, for instance, has spring trips yearly where we get to go to either Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens. We also go to district and area assessments, we go to area band auditions together, and we have concerts together. Some Bands get to go many places that are even better than Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens!
- You get to make many memories and friends. In classes like band you get to meet so many people. Whether it's at auditions or assessments, you're always meeting new people or if you're more introverted you can keep to yourself pretty easily. You experience so many fun new things and can make lasting memories with your classmates, rather than just being stuck at a desk all day sitting next to the same people.
- You get to make Music. You get to make (in my opinion) one of the best things in this world. With music you can bring tears to people's eyes, or a smile to their face. You get to create things at times that no one else has created. It's a beautiful thing and you get to make it with your friends in classes like Band and Orchestra.

I could go on but I don't have that much time right now. Here are the links I mentioned earlier:
