I jolted awake in my bed, the rhythmic pounding of my heart right by my ears. I looked around, noticing the light pouring through the window, softly grazing some of the children's sleeping faces. I couldn't help but smile at their adorably squishy faces, snoring the time away.

I looked at my hands, and then past them to the white blanket covering my legs. I brought my hand down to pinch my arm, immediately letting out a small hiss.

'Weird. I feel pain... this is a dream, right?'

I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts, knowing that dream logic was weird sometimes. The bell began to chime as a confused look over took my features.

"Good Morning, Everyone!"

The energetic antenna head hopped out of bed, excitedly waking up her little siblings. She caught my stare and gave me a big smile. I gave her a small polite one in return.

As they all changed into their clothes for the day, I decided I should do the same. I quickly slipped on the white button up, putting on the skirt soon after. My sock covered feet directed me near my suitcase as I picked up my boots from yesterday.

As I was tying the laces to the boots, a little girl came up to me, frustration clearly evident on her face as tears pooled in the corners of her big glossy eyes.

"(Y/n)....!"

My eyes widened in surprise, not really believing the fact that she had remembered my name. I finished with the last knot as my stare softened after acknowledging her teary eyes, " what happened?"

She held up a smaller version of the boots I wore and let out a small hiccup, "I c-can't tie them correctly and I-I don't wanna bother Emma since she's busy with the o-others....!"

I blinked in surprise before smiling softly and giving her blonde head a small and gentle pat, " Don't cry, here, I'll teach you."

She smiled happily, letting out a small sniffle as I swooped her up into my arms. I then proceeded to place her on my bed and teach her the magical secrets to tying laces. She couldn't help but giggle at some of the words I used to describe this seemingly normal event.

I let out a small giggle, explaining how Sir Bunny had to go through the loop to save the princess. During this small interaction, I failed to notice a pair of eyes watching my every move with the younger girl.

The little girl, now known as Conny, held my hand as she lead me to the dining area. When we arrived, she gave me a soft closed eyed smile before running off to join the other little ones. My eyes softened at the sight before me, never having been given the chance to truly take care of someone younger than I.

A sudden weight was put onto my right shoulder as I gasped in surprise. I quickly turned my gaze towards the culprit, only to be met with a silly grin etched onto the face of big boy Yuki.

"There you go again, you and your soft spot for children. You were always like this, even in the last orphanage. They all loved you. Y'know, you'd make a great mama."

I huffed and gently pushed his weight off my shoulder, "As if you'd know even a slight detail about me."

Yuki quirked an eyebrow in amusement, "Is that a challenge I hear?" He began to raise his voice, " I know that up to age 7, you continuously wet the-"

My face flared in embarrassment as my hand immediately shot out to cover his loud mouth. I narrowed my eyes into a slight glare, "No I didn't."

How did he know about such a secret thing? Dream logic? How? I mean, technically he was a fragment of my imagination. But, only I and close family members knew of that.
