It's a new day. My brother still doesn't know that I hangout with the gang, my parents are actually kind caring for me now. Life is just going great.

"Honey we have to tell you something" my mom said sitting at the table with my dad

"Yeah?" I questioned and sat down, was something wrong?

"Danielle-" my dad started

"We love you, we really do, and we think you are old enough to know that, we adopted you"

My heart stopped. I'm adopted, I mean makes sense but, why did they lie to me and not tell me until now? I got up and felt my eyes water.

"Honey? Please talk to us" my mom said

"Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you tell me this before?!" I yelled in anger as tears ran down my cheek

"We knew you were going to react like Well this" My dad said, or should I even called them mom and dad

"Who's my actual mom and dad?" I asked wiping my tears away

"We only have an address" she gave me a little paper with the address on it.

"We want you to meet her and if you like her then stay with her, I think you will fit in more" he said, that was so rude of him.

"You know what fuck You, fuck both of you!" I grabbed my phone and walked

"You can not talk to us like that!" My "dad" yelled

" you aren't my parents" I slammed the door and ran to the Curtis house.

I opened the door then slammed it,

"Hey don't slam the door!" Darry yelled "oh Dani it's you" Darry grinned then gave me a sad look,

I felt my nose sting and tears slowly roll down my cheek

"Hey what's wrong?" Darry stood up and hugged me

"T-they lied" I said about to break down

"Who lied?" He hugged me tight and I began to cry on his chest

"My parents aren't my parents, and my brothers aren't my brothers" I cried

"What happened?" I heard Soda say, then Darry stopped hugging me and soda started hugging me

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Soda, I-I'm adopted" I sniffled

"Oh shhh, don't cry you still got us" he hugged me tighter.

"Why didn't they tell me before?" I cried

"I don't know, but don't cry" he rubbed my back,

"What you do?" I heard two crack his knuckles, I heard whispers and then two hugged me

"It's okay, I'm here we all are" two said,

We stayed hugging for a few minutes then Johnny and Ponyboy hugged me, and dally came in but since he isn't the hugging type he patted my back and sat down, while Ponyboy was hugging me Steve busted in.

"Guys today is the....drag race. Ponyboy what the hell did you do to her!?" Steve yelled and ripped Ponyboy off of me.

"I didn't do anything" Ponyboy said back

"What happened Dani?" He said lifting my chin lightly that way he can see my face

"My whole -life is a l-lie" I cried

"What you mean Dani?" He asked confused

"M-my parents who aren't my parents said t-that I was a-adopted" I cried and he hugged me

"Hey it's okay Dani, don't cry" wiped my tears away and I sat down on the couch

"They gave me this address to see my real parents, and see if I can stay with them because I will apparently I will fit in" I sniffled

"Let's go then" Ponyboy said

"Yeah let's go" Soda grinned

"But I look like a total mess" I sniffled

"You are beautiful either way" two grinned, I smiled softly. I got up and looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't look that bad, I just fixed my hair and grinned.

I put the address into my phone and looked at everyone.

"Let's meet my real family"

We all got to the house and Steve gave me a weird look.

"This is my house" he said giving me a strange look, holy shit. We gave each other the same look and we both ran inside

"Mom!!" Steve yelled as we both were inside

"Yes hun, oh Hi Dani, what's up?" She asked

"Are you my mom?" I asked her, she sighed and looked down

"Mom is it true?" Steve asked

"The day Steve brought you over I remembered the Babygirl I had in my arms."

"Why did you leave me?" I asked as tears slowly rolled down my cheek

"2 kids was so much to handle, just with Steve I was getting overwhelmed, if I had enough money and a better husband I would have kept you Danielle, I swear, it hurt leaving you, but then I saw that some upper class people adopted you and it made me happy that you would grow up in a home with a full family, with a mom and dad and a big house" she said As her eyes watered

"Why didn't you tell me? That I had a baby sister?" Steve said as his eyes watered

"Because Steve then you would have done anything to find her, and I know how much it would hurt you" She looked at me and gave me a sad grin, I hugged her and she hugged me back, then Steve joined in

"When I found out my two babies found each other it made me happy, cause I got to see you Danielle, I love you babygirl, I really do and I'm so sorry"

"It's okay mom, it wasn't your fault" I sniffled

"I love you two" she hugged us tight

"I guess your my brother huh?" I sniffled and giggled

"That means I get to protect you more then usual" he chuckled and hugged me

"I can call you mom right?" I asked

"Of course" she giggled

"Mom, can I stay here, my "parents" said it would be better if I stayed with my new family"

"Of course baby, there's an empty bed room next to Steve's you can take that one," she smiled, I hugged her again.

This feels more like a home then what was my home.
