You returned to me with a humble gait
And I was whisked back in time
Little girl, little boy
Making mandalas of magic
In the halls of kings and queens of the old
And my hands start to shake
My breath is caught in my throat
And I stand and stammer your name
Things have changed between us
No return to the past
Little girl, little boy, have grown up at last
But if you take my hand
We'll walk and dance together
And things might be fine in this wild, wild world
We're alone, and we're dancing
In this wild, wild world
You look at me, eyes showing selfless fear
You're a king, and I'm a thief
You're a man, I'm a girl
With selfish lusting for the throne
In the castle of the moon and the stars
Things have changed between us
No return to the past
Little girl, little boy, have grown up at last
But if you take my hand
We'll walk and dance together
And things may be fine in this wild, wild world
We're alone, and we're dancing
In this wild, wild world
