The Heart of God
My dream, to know the heart of God
His love and justice grace the earth,
My Lord, salvation, source of awe,
His love for me preceded birth.
I love my Lord – to him I laud
His selflessness contains no dearth
He perished for me, and whips clawed
His skin for the sin of the earth.
I must thank you now, Lord
No going back to before
My praise, eternal worship
To my divine kingship.
Lady Wisdom
Wisdom walks through the streets, shouting
"Come and learn the ways of rightness!"
Love and power lie within her
None can comprehend her brightness.
Wisdom mourns for all those clouting
Deep wickedness, as if lightness
Could be within the shadowed blur,
And the fools couldn't grasp rightness.
Wisdom loves the humble,
Bestows her grace on all,
But to the fool, trouble
Will come, and then their fall.
