This is a multimedia project I made for school. You can see the corresponding animatic in the margins for this poem. Made on August 25 for my Creative Writing class. Do not reveal my name if you know this from school. I will report you.

There was a girl over the sea

Her skin was constantly unseen,

For she had a secret deep inside,

A shameful fear she had to hide.

The girl's skin was a river's bend,

Full of scars that never end,

For in her younger, darker days,

She was caught for a warrior's ways.

Shame laid on her for her curse,

For it was unknown which was worse:

To be used for her power to become unseen,

Or to have her youth robbed, like her dreams.

For she roved through the world, a dove

Lost and lonely, without love

Until she saw a boy in a town,

Who turned her entire life around.

Strange feelings lay in her chest,

And her heart beat in her breast

As she followed the strange, sweet boy

Whose town she was ordered to destroy.

One day, she spoke to him,

And loved the boy, a shameful sin,

As they were smitten, through and through,

The boy said, "I would like to see you."

The girl thought about brighter days,

How she could choose better ways,

And little did she know,

Before she was strong,

The boy could see her all along.
