Author note: So instead of just retyping Zuko Alone (since I can't change it at all) I decided that the best thing to do would be to give Sasuke his own chapter. This takes place during the events of Zuko Alone.
As Sasuke Uchiha walked through an Earth Kingdom town, he started to think on the events the that brought him to this point. How after he and Zuko had found the broadsword guy and Sasuke had killed him... that Zuko had turned to stealing to provide for him, Iroh, and Sasuke. However... Zuko soon left... and not long after... Sasuke had decided to part ways with Iroh as well.
'I was getting nowhere near finding a way home... a way to Orochimaru's power... a way to kill Itachi.' Sasuke thought. He reached for his forehead and then remembered that his headband was gone... he was no longer a ninja of the Hidden Leaf... and he had discarded his headband when Zuko and Iroh had cut top knot hair styles. Sasuke turned his mind away from the old man and the scarred prince as he started to move forward. He saw a garden with a scarecrow that kind of looked like Kakashi. Then he thought of Team 7... the Leaf Village... his old classmates. Sasuke closed his eyes and an image of Orochimaru and Itachi both flared in his mind.
'I am... an avenger.' Sasuke thought before his stomach growled. He took some money out of his pockets and walked into a bar like place.
"Hey, this place isn't for kids, get out of here!" one of the workers yelled at Sasuke.
"This establishment has food, correct?" Sasuke asked. The man nodded.
"Then I will not go. I will leave after I get a hot meal." Sasuke replied and set the money he had left on a table. The man nodded.
"That will cover the price of a large bowl of soup... is that fine?" the man asked.
"Yes... you can choose the soup you recommend... anything that isn't ramen." Sasuke replied. The man smiled.
"Sure thing. I'll give you one of my favorites." The man replied and walked away to get the soup cooked. Suddenly a group of people walked in carrying spears... mercenaries.
"Hey... doesn't that kid look like that Sasuke Uchiha guy who was rumored to be traveling around the banished Fire Nation prince?" one of the people asked. The leader shrugged but smiled.
"Hey... this isn't a place for kids... you might see ugly things." the leader of the group said in a mocking tone towards Sasuke. Sasuke did not bother to look up at the man as he waited for his food and a drink.
"I'm only here for a meal... then I'll be on my way. As for seeing ugly things... I have already seen the worst humanity has to offer." Sasuke replied. One of the mercenaries laughed.
"Whatever happens in an Earth Kingdom school can't be as bad as what happens in the streets of a town that the capital ignores... or the war... or the missions we get hired for." The laughing merc said before Sasuke glared at him. The merc saw the seriousness of Sasuke's eyes... he wasn't kidding... the kid had seen some mess.
