Alya was the first one to speak. "Can Marinette join us when we go to the dance at the Eiffel tower? "Oh, I'm sure she would love that," Sabine said. "Thanks Mrs. Cheng," Alya shouted, yanking Marinette out the door. Nino and Adrien were struggling to catch up to the two speeding girls.

Marinette and Alya made it to the Eiffel Tower in record time. The blogger was especially fast. Probably from when she would chase after Ladybug and Chat Noir for an interview. Marinette knew Alya had planned a setup once again. This wasn't going to happen on her watch. "I just remembered I have to go work on a Christmas present for someone," she said, trying to excuse herself from this situation. She wasn't exactly lying. She did have to make Adrien's gift. But she still didn't know what to make. But Alya caught her. "Oh no you don't," Alya said, "the show hasn't even started yet. Adrien, make sure she doesn't leave while Nino and I go get food." Marinette could not handle being alone with Adrien at a show without Alya. Alya set them up again. It was going to backfire once more because Marinette could not pull herself together around him for the life of her.
