A year later
It was the first day of senior year katherine was at her locker depressed when caroline and stefan walked up
"You ok" stefan asked he didnt know how he was supposed to be there for his girlfriend
"No she's been gone a year" katherine whined she missed her sister so much things had not been the same since elena and kol left
Rebekha walked up to the group"me nik and elijah spent the whole summer looking no luck"
"Lets get to class" caroline said she wanted to distract them she knew katherine missed her sister and Rebekah missed her brother they went in the class and went to there seats
katherine was halfway paying attention to alaric's teaching when the intercom beeped"you have two returning students"
"Seriously" rebekah and katherine shouted they were both hoping that kol and elena were back then kol and elena walked into the class
Elena now had a red steak in her hair and it was cut"im back" katherine got up and went and gave her sister a hug
"You have some explaining to do"alaric said
"Yeah yeah i know Where have you been the last 9 months why did i leave in time" elena said she let go of katherine and gave alaric a hug
"Wait thats not possible" bonnie said she knew a pregnancy was 9 months but she also knew vampires shouldn't be able to have kids
"Keep your conspiracies to your self" elena said she wanted to be the one to tell everyone
Kol went and gave rebekah a hug"hey sis"
"You two just up and left no nothing" Rebekah said
"Wait elena was really missing i thought that was a joke" caitlyn said
"no my twin sister was really missing no where to be found" katherine said she had missed elena so much but she also knew that if elena left she had a good reason
"Im sorry kat i had to" elena said she couldnt say why not with all these kids watching her she barley wanted to tell her own family that she up and left cause she was pregnant
"Had to what disapear like that with a note saying only cece knows but shes not gonna tell you that hurt" katherine sighed she was so mad that cece knew and she didn't
"i know it hurt but she was the only one who knew she was right she knew something that i needed to know" elena said
"wait do you two start back today" rebekah said she was hoping they don't so they could they leave
"we don't start till tomorrow" elena smiled
"go i know what your thinking" alaric said and elena and katherine left and rebekah and kol
katherine and elena went to the park and sat on the benches"you look different lena"
"yeah i got a hair cut stopped wearing leather stopped the evil glare started getting my attitude in check" elena said she looking into the distance
