The morning sun is peeping through the windows, drawing beautiful streaks on the floor. Your bare feet are walking across the un-touched cold wood, but you instantly warm as you see Ambrose in the kitchen. Usually Hilda's the one to cook breakfast, but she's working at Dr. Cerberus' doing to Black Friday; One of the worst traditions in your opinion. Too many people, and too much stress. So today Ambrose was the chef of the Spellman household. "Morning" he says with a grin, acutely focused on the frying pan with two pieces of bacon sizzling faintly.

A delicate porcelain cup filled with steamy rich coffee is placed on the table. "For you" Ambrose says, as he sees your eager gaze. One thing he knows about you for sure is that you can't quite seem to function without your morning coffee. You give him a smile in awe, before carefully leading the cup to your mouth.

"What uh.. what do you plan on.. you know.. doing?" Ambrose doesn't wanna walk on eggshells around you, but he doesn't yet know if you're ready to talk about everything. It was a pretty big bomb that got dropped on you yesterday, and there's a lot of unsolved questions.

You sigh, adjusting your eyes to the bright light while glaring out the window "If i'm being honest; I don't know. I don't have a place to live, I don't have any family except for Prudence, and The Dark Lord of all things in this universe is constantly watching over me. It feel's like an endless haunt, Ambrose" you bite your lip, trying not to get too worked up over the subject. The subject which was your life. A completely messed up life. The only thing working for you right now is Ambrose, and you're inevitably grateful to have him.

A plate with bacon an eggs is served , and Ambrose takes seat across you. "I know. But you're here, and you can stay as long as you want. We're your family, Marble" Ambrose's hand finds yours and gives it a light squeeze.

"I know, I know. I just hate this. I hate being a burden, and being dependent of others this much" your voice is slightly trembling, as you poke the food placed before you. The house is silent and it seemed like no one was around. Just you and Ambrose in the kitchen. No one else.

"We'll take things one day at a time" he can feel the tension and concern build up inside you, knowing he has to change the subject. "I'll go ask Sabrina about her plans, maybe you two could do some.. girly stuff?" he's already on his way out of the room, hearing you scoff. 'Girly stuff' oh how much insight he has in a girls life.

--

"Bacon?" Ambrose jumps over the crimson shaded couch "No thanks" Sabrina puts out a hand in disgust, shaking her head "After what I saw at the church of night yesterday i'm fasting. Maybe for the rest of my life, but definitely until later tonight" she replies with a determined voice.

"Oh big plans?" Ambrose grabs another piece of bacon, grinning at Sabrina's look. "After Harvey's shift, we're going to the movies" she faintly smiles, thinking about her boy. She would do anything for Harvey Kinkle.

"Do you think you and Marble could do something today? I think she needs to get her mind off things, and I can't exactly take her somewhere. Maybe show her around the town?" he raises and eyebrow.

Sabrina opens her mouth, about to answer as another voice interrupts "I don't need you to do that" your voice sounds like one big, exhausting sigh. Both you and Sabrina are staring at Ambrose for some kind of reply. "Don't you think you need it? Just a teensy tiny bit?" Ambrose asks, pinching his fingers together in front of his face with a squeaky voice. You once again scoff at his enthusiasm.

"I can do something for myself you know, Sabrina has other things to do" You reply, sitting on the backrest of the couch, your arm finding its way around Ambrose. He snuggles into you, breathing in your warmth. "Look at you to love-doves" Sabrina says, wrinkling her nose.

You rolls your eyes with a playful smile. Not once in your life did you expect to be called a love-dove, but oh how just one person can change your entire being in seconds. It still feels so unreal to you. Someone cares about you. Someone that you really really like, likes you back. If only things were so simple; If only you would have met under different circumstances.

Sharp footsteps are heard behind you, ones that only can belong to Zelda Spellman. "Where's your Aunt Hilda?" She seems stressed, not even giving a good morning to any of you. But Zelda isn't exactly the type of person to make a happy entrance, just a dramatic one.

"She's working at the bookstore, Aunt Zee. Remember, it's Black Friday" Sabrina replies with her usual curious grimace. Zelda sighs, turning around in disbelief. You have a snarky comment right at the tip of your tongue, but you already feel like you're on thin ice with Zelda, so you'll have to save that one for later.

"It most certainly is not!"  she says with her frequent solemn voice. "Wha- no I don't mean witches Black Friday" Sabrina says in an obvious tone. "I mean it's Black Friday for mortals. It's the busiest shopping day of the year"

"It's the worst mortal cultural thing in the universe" You couldn't help your own words this time. All eyes turn to you in silence. "I mean-" you shrug. You couldn't exactly save yourself now. Zelda shakes her head as an anyway.

Suddenly a new sound filled the room. A ringing from the telephone placed next to the couch. Another annoyed grimace is seen on Zelda's face "It's also one of our busiest times" her annoyed tone is creating tension in the room; Something you were not great at handling.

You once had a mortal friend. A secret friend. Before Faustus got married to Lady Blackwood and everything you did suddenly was wrong or rebellious according to Constance. She showed you TV-shows and starbucks, all kinds of things you didn't know about. Mortals sure had a weird way for entertaining. Faustus did not encourage any mortal activities whatsoever. The TV you owned was small and boxy with only a few channels on it, and a thick layer of dust on the top.

"The Kemper bodies are already on their way, and Satan knows who else" she picks up the phone the second after her complaining sentence. The whole autopsy-thing Ambrose did was very intriguing to you. There was something about death, that was so alluring and mysterious.

"Spellman Mortuary, this is Zelda" She said in a hurried tone, still shaking her head. "That woman can do nothing but complain can she" you mumbled under your breath. Luckily no one heard it. You admired Zelda in some way for her fierceness.. but sometimes she just- ugh.

In an instant Zelda's expression changes. She looks startled, something she isn't often. Sabrina furrows her brows yet again, looking to you and Ambrose who mimics her expression.

"No we hadn't heard" all eyes divert to the woman, who gives an anxious look to Sabrina and Ambrose, before putting her hand over the phone "Sabrina, there's been an accident down at the mines" In a hurry, Sabrina throws her binder to Ambrose, who barely balances his plate of bacon

"But Harvey-" Sabrina's voice is trembling. "Go, and pray to Satan that he's alright" Zelda hushes her niece, who's basically already out the door.

"Does she like have a thing for the mines or?" you are utterly confused at Sabrina's reaction. Zelda clenches her jaw, looking at you with piercing eyes. "Harvey works at the mines, Marble" Ambrose puts his hand on your arm, he can't help the small smile that forms on his lips. "A thing for the mines? Who would have a thing for the mines?" he shakes his head with a tsk.

"People have some weird kinks these days, Ambrose. Should I go help Sabrina?" this time you're asking Zelda, she sure seems like the head of the house.

"That would be a good idea Marble" she says, still with a startled look.

"I wish you could come with me" you say, kissing Ambrose in his chocolate dark hair. He sighs as a 'me too' before hushing you along.

As you step into your scruffy-looking boots, a creaking noise catches your attention. You turn around, facing the stairs, as you see a dreadful sight. Something sending shivers down your spine, making you clench your fists together.

"Hello, Marble"
