Demon Slayer Academy - Random Headcanons!
These are my personal headcanons, so agree to disagree- mostly about Tanjiro, Inosuke, Genya, Zenitsu and Kanao. I'll probably revisit the teachers/Hashira later!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
• Tanjiro has to wake up at 3 am every morning to help his parents prepare the bakery! He doesn't mind tho
• As the eldest of six children (adores reminding people he's the oldest for some reason), it's also Tanjiro's job to help the younger ones get ready for school, which can be tricky-
• Nezuko hates waking up early in the morning
• Takeo is in middle school with Nezuko, Hanako and Shigeru are in elementary, and Rokuta stays at home either with the parents or with a part time sitter
• Nezuko is obsessed with the family bread, especially the bread Tanjiro makes
• Genya is torn between wanting to move in with Sanemi and wanting to stay with his other siblings
• Once his father
Coughgetsarrestedcough leaves (a neighbor called after hearing yelling) he decides to stay at home and help his mother
• Things are actually much nicer with his father gone, despite the fact Sanemi has to split the bills with his mother for the apartment even though he's moved about already
• Sanemi doesn't mind at all tho, he thinks it's the least he can do for all she's done for he and his siblings
• Genya gets nervous around every girl around his age, as well as every girl that's older than him. He isn't so bad around the elderly or children tho
• Genya really loves the archery club, it's his own little slice of Heaven- that his brother insists on berating him about
• Inosuke is terrible at every class that isn't History, and that's only because Rengoku-sensei turns almost every lesson into a Calvary Battle
• He has regular study sessions with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Genya when he's not doing Archery things, and Kanao when she's not doing flower club stuff
• It's actually helping to improve Inosuke's grades!
• Mm...somewhat
• Kanao had to teach him how to read and write
• Zenitsu tries to reenforce those lessons- always ends in an argument
• At first, Inosuke refused to call the old woman who adopted him 'Grandma'
• Went from 'Hag' to 'Old Woman' and more recently, 'Granny'
• Loves and respects his old lady (UwU)
• Inosuke doesn't receive any discipline at home and any disciplinary action received is at school from Tomioka-sensei and Tengen
• Listens to Shinobu-senpai and Kocho-sensei without any disciplinary action, no one has figured out why
• Inosuke doesn't care for veggies.....unless they're deep fried (really likes deep fried broccoli thanx to Mitsuri)
• Zenitsu has been scouted by the track team and vehemently refused, saying things like "I'm no good! I'll only bring the team down!!!"
• Zenitsu is also a naturally talented musician because of his perfect pitch- will deny being any good every single time
• Pretty nice singing voice too if you can believe it
• Zenitsu has also recently developed insomnia
• Although Kaigaku and Zenitsu were both adopted by Jigoro, they both simultaneously love and hate eachother - regardless, he still addresses Kaigaku as 'Aniki'
• They just can't seem to get along
• Zenitsu tries to avoid Kaigaku at school if only to avoid another argument
• Despite this, he respects his shit of an older brother very much
• Jigoro is not above smacking them around with his 'crazy old man strength'
• They've learned to "get along" around the old man- a walking stick to the skull fucking hurts, dude
• Zenitsu is pretty self-conscious about his hair and face and well...his looks in general- he thinks he's kind of ugly, especially standing next to Inosuke
• The boy really wants a girlfriend to help "validate his pitiful existence" (boy shut up you're adorable and I love you)
• Kanao is really good at most anything she tries
• Sports, grades, girl's got some serious skills
• But...she can't seem to ever speak her mind or give her opinion on something even when she's asked
• It's slow going, but Tanjiro and company are helping her break out of her shell
• Kanao's love of flowers comes directly from gardening with her sister Kanae
• Out of respect, Kanao called her sisters by their names for the longest time and refused to address them any other way
• She now refers to them as her 'older sisters' instead of 'Kanae and Shinobu', although she does still get nervous when doing so
• Kanao only needs about 2 hours of sleep to function properly
• Surprise surprise, her favorite subject is Biology (if you didn't know, Kocho-sensei teaches Bio)
