"Enjoying the view, Y/N?"
Your lips curved up as your dear friend and king came to stand beside you at the bow, gazing with you at the mighty sunrise with its magnificent spectrum of color, and although you didn't turn your head, you could tell he was smiling too.
"And the peace and quiet the early morning brings- and, of course, the company."
Caspian nudged your arm affectionately and as you asked him how he was faring this very fine morning, your gaze still focused lazily on the sunrise's canvas, you could feel his eyes lock on your face as his jovial smile turned into one of warmth.
"I am quite glad to know you appreciate my friendship such as I cherish yours."
You turned and met his smile with one of your own, equally as tender.
