Chapter 19: That Should Be Me

Author's POV

Another simple day at school and the class just ended. It was forecasted on the news that there will be a storm that will hit on their country and now the rain is so strong but Wonyoung forgot to bring her umbrella 'I think this rain won't stop geez. Oh God help me I really wanna go home now. There are only few students left here' She thought

"Hey Wonyoung!" Wonyoung turn around as she heard a familiar voice

"Oh hi Ryujin!" Wonyoung smiled at the girl

"You're waiting for Yujin?"

"Uhmm no, she's still talking to their coach I guess"

"Then what are you doing here? You don't have an umbrella?"

"Y-yeah hehe I forgot to bring mine" Wonyoung said shyly

"Then let's go now, I will drive you home" Ryujin offered and finally Wonyoung's prayer was heard

"Isn't it too much burden to you?" She said cause she don't want to look desperate

"No, I don't mind. Come on it looks like the rain won't stop, please Wonyoung I insist" Ryujin pleaded

"Okay hehe thank you" Wonyoung said and Ryujin opened her umbrella and put her arms around Wonyoung's shoulders to make them get closer so that they can fit in.

"Let's go?" Ryujin ask and Wonyoung just nod in response and as they are about to take a step Wonyoung felt someone held her wrist

"Yujin?" She said as she turn around she saw Yujin looking at them seriously and Ryujin put her arm away from Wonyoung's shoulders

"I will drive you home" Yujin said in a serious tone

"But--- uhmm I'm sorry Ryujin, Yujin is already here but thank you for your offer I appreciate it" Wonyoung said and smiled at her

"It's okay, I will go now, Yujin take care of her" she said and smiled at Wonyoung too

"Of course I will take care of my girlfriend and by the way I'm sorry for my attitude on the other day" Yujin said

"It's okay now, I understand" Ryujin said and she walk to the parking lot.

"You should've texted me so that I will be able to drive you home" Yujin said seriously

"I thought you're still talking with your coach"

"Nevermind let's go" Yujin said as she open her umbrella and she put her arm around Wonyoung's shoulders and they start to walk towards the parking lot.

Meanwhile Minju just went out of the building and she saw how Yujin wrap her arm around Wonyoung as they walk and then she remembers how Yujin used to do that to her, how Yujin hugs and hold her tight, she didn't even want any raindrops to touch her skin and now she's doing that to another girl which clearly not her. Her teardrops fell as she reminisced their past.

"Are there clouds in your eyes too?" Chaewon asked which made Minju look at her

"I guess there is, cause this stupid eyes can't stop raining" Minju said while wiping her tears

"Well I wish I can be the sun in your eyes so that the rain will stop" Chaewon said while smiling bitterly looking at sky which made Minju kinda taken aback

"Just kidding it's kinda lame by the way hahaha" Chaewon said as she look at her while smiling but that smile is full of bitterness

"How I wish that you can be my sun too but---"

"I know, it's still her" Chaewon said smiling but the pain is visible in her eyes and Minju can't say anything

"Let's go! The rain is getting stronger" Chaewon said and she opens her umbrella and lift her hand for Minju to hold it

'If I can only love you the way I love her then maybe I'm wouldn't be hurting like this' Minju thought before she held Chaewon's hand.
