Write the Story

May Challenge

No, you read that right. I am skipping April's challenge since we are nearly 1/2 way through the month and I have not made a post yet. So that gives you 2 additional weeks to come with something for our next challenge.

HOW IT WORKS:

Every month I will give you a writing prompt and several words to use in the story. The stories will completely vary in genres. There is no obligation to participate in every story prompt, join in when you want, step out when don't want.

See easy. All I ask is that every story is emailed to storytellerssaloon@gmail.com because it makes life so much easier on me as I don't have to reformat the entire story. You can send it as Word Doc or just copy and paste right into the body of the email.

Be certain to include your Title and Profile name. Very important so I know who to give credit to for the story.

The Saloon will follow any new writer that has not written for us before.

The winning story will be announced by the 2nd week of the following month. The story will be given a winner's banner and that story will be promoted on the Storytellers Saloon Facebook Page and announce as the winner on the Profile here.

You can post your story on your own profile as well and you, of course, own the rights to all of your stories even if they are posted here on the Storytellers Saloon. The Storytellers Saloon reserves the right to edit your story for grammatical and spelling issues.

Please take note no 18+ mature stories as the Saloon is Teen Friendly so we don't wish to exclude anyone and I can't mark just one story Mature.

So no graphically sexual or violent content, and keep the language clean people.

There is no max limit on words but do keep in mind we are a "short" story group.

If you do participate in the contest, please, come back every now again to check your story and respond to the comments on your story. I would also appreciate it if you read, voted and commented on the other submissions as well.
